One of the finest Chardonnay's around. Unfortunately not for long, as I understand that the wine maker, Benoit Germain, plans to blend this cuvee into a white version of the spectacular, but underrecongnized Pinot Noir Tante Berthe. If you can find it, buy it, drink it and cellar it. Young it is intense bright and angular, aged it is veloptuous. (181 views)

Taste: Brief flash of tarragon; Slightly dry on the finish; Acidity was a little astringent for my liking.

Taste: Fresh and refreshing. Nice chard notes with meyer lemon as a standout. Mouthfeel was glyceral and coating.

nose: racy and pure on the nose with loads of honeysuckle, bits of grapefruits, lemon peels, white peaches and mineral undertones. a very endearing nose that really takes hold and commands your attention

taste: very fresh and vibrant with refreshing medium+ acidity. Excellent tones of honeysuckle, meyer lemons, white peach tones, and mineral undertones. good medium feel to compliment it all

overall: a lovely pernand. Excellent depth with a real nice vibrant feel to it, while it can be aged, there is no faulting anyone for drinking it right now (146 views)

nose: great depth and purity on the nose with red and black cherries, earth tones, brown spices, and dark florals. Take a bit to get going, but once it does, it really opens up into a wonderful beaune boquet

taste: very well balanced with medium/high acidity, but it doesn't interfere at all. Lovely tones of mineral rich earth, red and black cherries, with tasty tones of black spices. Great depth with a good purity of flavors too

overall: great complexity and depth at this young stage. A slight bit astringent on the finish, but that should rectify itself with time. A lovely beaune 1er that should age well and really show off the terroir with more age (145 views)

nose: good nose of black spices, earth, and bits of red fruits. Very nice nose, but lacking depth and not very expressive either. Fairly standard nose for a village wine at this stage

taste: medium/high acidity strikes you right off the bat with balanced tones of red fruits, raspberries, and earthen tones. Good balance, but a bit thrashed by acidity at this young stage

overall: a nice young village wine. Good light feel with medium/light depth, this should open up a bit more(and be much better) in three years or so. Its a good value and brings an attractive flavor profile for those that love burgundy (141 views)
