Deepish ruby. A large amount of sediment in the bottle
Nose has "green" blackberry notes, dominated by more floral / vegetal tones - asparagus, peas, truffle, jasmine and grass. Not overly pronounced but interesting.
Palate - Quite vegetal with some dusty green blackberry, and a little red fruit (cherry), but not bitter. Good refreshing acidity with lightish mouthfeel. Tannins are a little lacking making this almost valpolicella like in body. Lacks ripeness/ sweetness of fruit. Medium length.
Overall - Lacks ripeness of fruit and intensity. Drink now or over next year. Acidity will make a decent food accompliment with lighter red meat dishes. (303 views)

Black as the night, truly inky color. Fantastic, explosive aromatics that scream essence of Syrah--blackberry, boysenberry, licorice, mint, and purple flowers. Not a huge wine. In fact, medium weight and significantly less hefty than the color would suggest. Again, great purity and intensity of dark fruit wrapped up by cranberry acidity rather than monstrous tannins. My favorite French Syrah in quite a while and astounding quality for a Crozes. (641 views)

This is one of my favorite Crozes Hermitage from Gilles Robin. This wine displays core of beautiful red fruit, white pepper notes through mid palate. Well balanced wine with good acidity and mineral notes. Hard to believe this wine goes for under $30!!! (704 views)
