2007 Yellow Tail Cabernet-Merlot (Australia, South Eastern) 10/28/2009Rick B85

Not too bad...but not too good either. Paired in Chattanooga with pasta. Dark fruit blend of cab/merlot. Very noticeable/surprising acidity. Not much nose to speak of. Very fruit forward and jammy. Can take it or leave it. Should have purchased the merlot instead of a cab/merlot blend. (73 views)

2008 Yellow Tail Shiraz (Australia, South Eastern) 10/30/2009PIntag70

Thick, unctuous, vanilla wine. This is very syrupy with heavily oaked vanilla flavor. It's hard to believe I liked this style before I really got into wine. (106 views)

2005 Yellow Tail Chardonnay The Reserve Casella Estate (Australia, South Eastern) 10/25/2009wicozani78

I also had high hopes for this, but the nose betrayed this wine! Golden yellow in the glass, the nose reminded me of cotton candy and over-ripe tropical fruit. Perhaps its over the hill already, but it was nearly spritzy with acidity and the seeming unnatural butter/vanilla notes. Quite weird overall, and will not be purchased again. (71 views)

2008 Yellow Tail Cabernet Sauvignon (Australia, South Eastern) 10/19/2009KVM69

Smells like Dr. Pepper - fake vanilla and cherry. Sweetish and one dimensional artificial fruit flavour, not refreshing. Pass the water, please. (104 views)

Light, refreshing Chardonnay; rich in taste, tastes of vanilla and peach; great every day wine! (39 views)

2003 Yellow Tail Merlot (Australia, South Eastern) 8/28/2004LynneChef

This is a young merlot. Okay, almost a sipping wine. Does not have a lot of depth or charcter, but pleasant. Has a lot of berry flavor and a bare hint of spice. Tasty. (33 views)

2008 Yellow Tail Pinot Grigio (Australia, South Eastern) 10/9/2009abstractconformity86

Medium acidity of pears and lemons that finish with tartness and green apples. It didn't hold up well against a spicy Curry but suprisingly paired well with chocolate pie with rasberries. Te flavors were really enhanced by the sweetness (87 views)

2006 Yellow Tail Chardonnay The Reserve Casella Estate (Australia, South Eastern) 10/2/2009JamF91

Looked like a wine that has been aged a little, golden colour, but could still see some tiny bubbles after it's been opened, tropical fruit and a touch of oak, on the palate, it's soft, tones of mineral, the fruit comes forward quite nicely, not in an explosive way like some Australia wine, very elegant and well made. I was skeptical at first with the quality of this huge supermarket brand. I bought it at a big discount and it turned out to be a bargain, well worth the try. (67 views)

2007 Yellow Tail Cabernet Sauvignon (Australia, South Eastern) 9/29/2009chucklesmcgee65

Pretty unenjoyable. Very muted, strong taste of alcohol. I had about 2 oz of this, sat it down, contemplated, and then dumped the contents of my wine glass and the bottle down the drain. Pretty much garbage. I had had Yellow Tails 2007 Shiraz a week prior and found it to be much more enjoyable, so I don't consider myself to be biased against the winery, nor the price point ($6). Certainly enjoyable enough, especially considering the price. Rather muted flavors, but for $6 a bottle, you get what you pay for, right? (181 views)

Scored an invitation to the Yankees-Red Sox in a suite where they served Yellowtail. Fruit forward, one dimensional, exceedingly average. And to think I used to drink this stuff regularly. (141 views)
