Disgorged in October 2018. Medium gold, vivid mousse. Aromatically expressive with notes of red berries, ripe apples, nougat and fine oak, bronze and chalk. The rich flavours are offset by a solid structure built on firm upright acidity with judicious and well-managed wood support. Still fairly youthful and very Bérêche indeed, this old-vine pinot should keep and develop well for a decade or more. (Disclaimer: ITB with Swedish importer Vin & Natur)

Developed aromas which are slightly vetegal and wet-wooly reductive. Most of the fun happens on the palate where generous flavours of lemon curd are underlined by vanilla spice to great effect. The attack and midpalate texture is notably smooth, while buffered acidity as well as salinity bring excellent freshness that fully comes into play on the finish and aftertaste. Drinking really well now, it should keep for a couple of years more.

In 2017, we thought best to wait 5-7 years before consumption. And here we are, smack in the middle of the drinking window!
