W_Riesling - Mosel. #1; COLOR-golden; NOSE-great golden apple; Lipton tea bag; little pear as well; great nose; little peach fuzz action; PALATE-while not an over-the-top dessert wine, this is sweet; really great acidity coming through; very sharp pear meets apple flavor; very tropical (papaya & guava) on the mid-palate that really linger; I think Spectator went a little high; a gorgeous and vibrant Riesling; if you like apples and pears you're going to absolutely love this; AFTER CAP'N CRUNCH: may be the most hedonistic pairing ever; one of the great pairings; a great Sunday brunch idea; I give the Cap'n Crunch a 100 points; WS-95; GV-92 92 points |

W_Chardonnay - CA. #2; COLOR-medium golden; NOSE-hits you with an intense burnt bark sensation; a little butter and candied apple as well; PALATE-big Chardonnay; very dry; a little nutty nutmeg component on the back-end; not too oaked; the smoked burnt aspect follows through as well; AFTER CINNAMON TOAST CRUNCH: I feel like I had Creme Brulee; delicious; a really nice pairing; WS-92; GV-88/89 (88-89) points |
