St Emilion. #2 (by Nick P); COLOR-dark; NOSE-smells like crap surrounded by cinnamon & plum; nice smokiness; I like it; warm 5 day old V-8 juice; TASTE-a ton of complexity; tremendous mouthfeel; very silky; nice dark pepper component, green peppers & potato peel; vegetal & coffee components; V8 juice mixed w/ coffee; bring serious THUNDER for my palate; very intriguing for sophisticated palates; it's not delicious, but I love it; great food wine (meat/mushroom dish); serious complexity; extremely long finish; RP-94; GV-93+ 93+ points

Australian Shiraz/Syrah. #3 (by Russ J); COLOR-dark; NOSE-huge raspberry jam; fruit roll-ups; little skittles action; TASTE-very concentrated, enormous amount of body on the palate; very heavy; very jammy & fruity (strawberry & raspberry jam, little cassis); alcohol coming through; big juicy wine, but some nice complex components; nice wine, but a little hot; big New World; a little off-balance & hollow on the mid-palate, but it's solid; RP-92; GV-88 88 points

Napa Syrah/Shiraz. #1 (by AutoProxy); COLOR-dark; NOSE-very interesting; some candy-ness, but not over the top; obvious black pepper component; Sashimi w/ Soy Sauce component; little Cantaloupe; TASTE-walking the New World line perfectly; tremendous complexity throughout; the finish is a more Northern Rhone; very polished; enormous amount of fruit; sweet tannins; finishes very dry & complex; little mud & green leaf action around the fruit on the finish; the transition from the mid-palate to the finish is tremendous; RP-90; GV-91 91 points
