6/10/2023 - crumblemore Does not like this wine: 84 pointsUgh. Not the celebration of radiance I was thinking about. I thought this wine was a bit bland, alcoholic, and tart. Flavors of alcohol, citrus, and a finish of pear. Definitely sun-kissed. Felt a bit sweet and hot! Didn’t feel crisp. Not the most refreshing prosecco. Sun goddess needs to chill out, their liberal use of the spirit of sun is too much. I can drink this but it’s kind of like looking directly at the sun. You can do it, but why? |

Med to med + nose of ripe yellow apple, white peach, candied lemon, white flower, honey. All stainless. Dry, but very fruit-forward, w/ med+ acidity, med alcohol (12.5%). Seemingly med+ body thanks to its relatively creamy mouthfeel. Med+ flavor intensity and med length, w/ ripe lemon, peach and a pink grapefruit bitterness on the finish. Very nicely balanced and quite pleasant. Drink now, not intended for aging. |

Love the Romato style; made with the juice macerated on the skins, providing a pale copper/orange color, with more extract and slightly more body. Medium minus weight with refreshing (medium minus) aromas and flavors of tangerine, Meyer lemon, pink grapefruit, ripening peach, and white pepper, underscored with some salty, briny minerals. However, flavors are much more expressive on the palate. Very good balance of fruits, medium plus acidity and complexity. Perfect appertiff. Dry, medium finish. Would liked to have seen more aromatic intensity. Drink by late 2023. |
