Great, mature Bordeaux. Red berries, cigar box, silky tannins. Similar expression as the previous bottles. Will keep this level for 3+ years.

First bottle of this. Decanted 30-40 minutes but it should have been longer. Seemed very soft and simple at first although quite pleasant, but by the time we finished dinner this was much firmer and the tannins more apparent. Still, I won’t expect this to improve a lot beyond the next couple years. Good red berry fruit, some cedar notes, rather soft and supple fruit. Easy to drink.

Again a very beautiful Bdx nose 👍👍
Intensive taste with cassis, freshly ground coffee, a touch of menthe. Well integrated tannins and a long nice finish.

Palate with dark fine ripe fruit, black currant and blueberries, good tannins and structure with fine balance.
This is in its early stage of drinking and will definitely improve from here on.
A really good old-school and very fine balanced Bordeaux.

Reflects the season somewhat-a little four square up front. With a couple of hours decant it opens up a little. Enjoyable honest claret.

Beautifully composed of 52% Cabernet Sauvignon, 39% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc, and 4% Petit Verdot — aged 12 months in 40% new oak. A cornucopia of ripe fruit—juicy red cherries, sweet dark berries, and plums. So fresh and clean. Spice box, rose, and violet add touches of feminine intrigue and pure elegance. I absolutely love this wine and bought two bottles immediately after tasting it. Ready to drink now but will age gracefully over the next decade or so.

decanted 2 hrs then back into the bottle, drank half over 3 hours. good density, textbook left bank bordeaux. black and red fruit, mint, dry. decent balance and ready to drink but lacking a bit of charm - unrealized potential perhaps. after a few days in the fridge under vacuvin, softer and more merlot dominated. for me, not a big step up from more value-priced cru bourgeois or cotes de bordeaux estates.

Medium-dark ruby hue. Aromas of blackberry, cassis, earthy, plum, tar. Plus body, full tannins, plus acid. Structured with a long finish. Beautiful bouquet. Needs more time to soften, but drinking well now. Solid value for a Left Bank Bordeaux. 64% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc, 3% Petit Verdot.

Deep ruby, purple, with a wide, slight reddish, rainy, translucent rim and some legs.

On the nose, there is a very prominent green, herbal note in the beginning from initial pop and pour - green peppers, forest floor, wet earth, tobacco, and vanilla. After half an hour in the glass, the fruits start singing - blackberries, cassis, black cherries, and plums.

Medium bodied and acidic on the palate with prominent green herbal notes mixed with earth and leather - green peppers, wet earth, leather, black tea, some oak and vanilla presence, blackberries and cassis. Tannins are somewhat grippy with a medium peppery finish.

Overall, this is quite enjoyable and delicious, and is quite approach at its young age.

This wine is not complex. But it’s a good wine for the price. Some earth and red fruit is definitely noticeable. There’s not much tannins left so I don’t see this wine improving but I think this wine could last at this stage for at least a few more years.

Nose: Raspberry. Palate: Tart cran-raspberry juice, cassis, chalky tannins, sweet cherry on the finish. I found this to be much more balanced than the 2016 vintage, which had a sharper acid edge, and much tarter fruit; and while pretty linear, the components of the 2018 were much more in balance.

PnP'd one bottle (magnum) and it felt thin for the first hour.
Decanted a different bottle the following day for a few hours and it showed fuller. So I do suggest a decant at this point.

Tannins are fully resolved. Classic but slightly muted Cantemerle flavors and aromas of blackberry, leather, a touch of cedar and the like.

Not a particularly great vintage for Cantemerle due to lacking a bit of acidity/back bone but still a pleasant wine to drink now.

In a good place right now, it will be in an even better place in 5+ more years. Lovely ruby color. The nose is fruit forward and really pops out of the glass with cherry, blackcurrant and plums. On the palate, blackcurrant, tobacco, spice, touch of menthol. Good acidity with smooth tannins. This can easily take more cellar time. If you can get some at a reasonable price it's great but I've seen some place abuse on prices after the Château got more popularity lately.
