Light straw; bright. Shows typicity to cool vineyard pinot Gris: Apple, honeydew melon, pear. Good mid-palate fruit intensity, crisp acidity on the finish.

light ruby colored, medium-bodied, cherry, moderate tannins - the 2013 is turning out to be one of the better KE vintages for me

Pear and apple aromas, and a whiff of pine needles. More apple favors with lemon and a crisp finish.

The Sixth Annual World's Largest Blind Tasting of American Sparkling Wine (Houston, Texas): Retail $40. 60% Pinot Noir, 40% Chardonnay. Another fantastic wine in a tasting with many solid sparklers. Holy cow. Yeasty and fruity on the nose, with baked fruit, great tartness, and a vibrant sparkle on the palate, holy cow, another great one here. Outstanding. 95 Points.

Picked this up on sale for $20. A blend of 83% Pinot Noir and 17% Chardonnay from the first pressing. Aged 3 years on it's lees. A little funk on the nose. fresh and clean with a sharply focused profile. Notes of slate and crisp green apple. 88 points.

The Sixth Annual Blind Tasting of American Pinot Noir (Houston, Texas): Retail $20. Medium to dark in color with an odd nose, kind of a medicinal nuttiness. The palate is fine? With fruit and tartness for sure, but there is that nutty finish that has me scratching my head. Very Good? 87 Points.

Beautiful light red color, oak and mild fruit on the nose, tart and smooth on the palate. Hoping for more complexity and more fruit concentration but the finish is alright and the oak is bearable. $19 at Trader Joe's.

11/4/2023 - The Drunken Cyclist Does not like this wine: NR

The Sixth Annual Blind Tasting of American Pinot Noir (Houston, Texas): Retail $85. Magenta in the glass which seems a bit odd to me—it looks more like a Cab than a Pinot. The palate is quite shy and comes off both as sour and a tad medicinal. I will need to pop the other bottle as I am not sure what is going on here.

Pale ruby in color; cherries, dried leaves, and raspberries on the nose; high acidity; medium minus tannins; tastes like cranberries, pomegranates, and hibiscus with medium finish. Not bad. Nellie says it's too acidic.
