Round and fresh - hits a nice midpoint between overoaked fruity modern CdP and austere, traditional-style CdP. Nose of crushed berries and flowers, palate of earth and red berries. Compares to some of my favorite $50 refined Cal cabs. (564 views) | ||||

Surprisingly drinking quite well already, this wine shows off a deep nose with notes of toasted bread, crunchy dark fruit, cherries and dry dirt. In the mouth good depth, good complexity with fairly soft tannins. Good stuff for what it is, but this lacks real complexity that the £20 price tag would merit. Overall good. Needs a few more years to lose some of its baby fat. (650 views) | ||||
