Just have to love the whole line up of 07 Janasse's.....lightly burnt toast with cherry jam, evolving flavors in the decanter, the nose was wonderful out of decanter for the two hours

Concentrated dark fruit and some strawberry on the nose. Started out quite closed but began to show some salt liquorice, tar, meat and coffee. A strong aroma of pickle indicating malo.
Full-bodied with decent acidity and slightly grippy tannins. Big sweetish fruit and warming alcohol. Some coffee and liquorice. Good lenght.
Too edgy and disjointed now but otherwise it seems to have it all to make a decent wine someday. (703 views)

This clearly needs many years to show its potential, but despite this i quite liked it. Very soft and fruity with a slight sweetness to it. There are loads of complex flavours but at this stage i was a little bit disturbed by a very slight note of yeast and some malolactic tones. Keep. (723 views)

This was not as hot or tannic as the last bottle. Nice red licorice and cherry palate, with just a touch on candy cane, but enough to make it feel too sweet. Good acidity. Easy drinker tonight. Best after 3 hour decant. (733 views)

Rich and ripe nose of cocoa and plums, Decanted and first glass poured after 45 mins., Not as ripe initially as the nose would suggest, pure cherry and strawberry fruit that feels almost like 100% Grenache and not really that big. It picked up weight after being open about 2 hrs. and took on a sweeter profile. All in all enjoyable, but I did like it better when first open and had a more medium texture. (1058 views)

I just feel this is going to get even better but its hard to keep my hands off of it right now. Cherry and just a bit tannicy. Acts like a leggy Cab in the glass with a floral nose. Some 07 Gigondas is also very good and may provide the patience I need for the better CdP's. (1220 views)

WOW...wonderful floral aroma, leggy, sweet, rich and just north of medium bodied and very drinkable right now. Mainly dark fuit tastes can't wait til its 5 or 6 years old. I'll buy more of this one right away. (1244 views)

Very complex nose and taste. Full of fresh and civilized fruit. A soft full-bodied mouthfeel and sweet tannins. More oak than in Ferrand, but it integrates completely with an hour of air. Long and very complex aftertaste. An amazing young wine. This is going to have a long life and a wide drinking window. (1734 views)

Chocolate, dark rasins, mocha. Deeply ripe on the nose. Palate is with richness and the weight of heavy duty fruit. Much darker and heaviery than the Vieux Telegraph La Crau with the fruits centered (here) on more fig, plum, black berries, black currants. The finish is short but that is because it was just opened. For all that super ripe fruit I don't feel the alchohol, or notice it even though it is at 15.5%. (1865 views)
