Bright and fresh. Good balance, with lots of strawberry and floral notes. Smooth finish. One of the more intersting Syrahs I've had in a long time.

Zin that drinks like a pinot. Ruby in color, and medium-bodied with flavors of strawberry, blueberry, hints of pepper and vanilla. Bright and lively with a long finish.

Ripe red fruit on the nose which darkens a bit on the palate. Front shows a bit of sour cherry mixed with other dark fruits while the acid begins to assert on the mid. Fruit fades a bit through the finish but the acid and structure carry through to a moderate finish. Overall a decent wine that is probably showing best now or within a year or so.

The wine looks violet colored. It smells like blackberry and blueberry. It tastes like cranberry, blueberry and blackberry. The body is medium/full. The wine has smooth texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has low acidity.

Nice aromatics of strawberry, blueberry and pipe tobacco/baking spice. Loads of dark fruit on the palate and some black pepper. Decently balanced and the tannins come through on the finish, but I worry that this one won't age well. A delicious pop-and-pour nonetheless.

Smoke and beef on the nose with only the slightest hint of fruit. The front and mid show a bit of tannin and acid but the fruit is still a bit player.
The wine finishes with moderate length showing notes of rhubarb, sarsaparilla and smoked meat. A bit of an odd wine but not bad at all though perhaps not for everyone.

Plum, cedar and holiday spices on the nose. The fruit on the palate is soft, subtle, and savory with a lush mouth feel. The finish has good acidity with moderate tannins and lingers for awhile with a hint of vanilla and oak. This wine is drinking quite well now!

Tastes a lot like a Sauterne, with that botrytis flavor. But this is just late harvest, no botrytis. Peach and apricot nose and palate. Hint of citrus. Well balanced, nice acidity to counteract the sweetness. A perfect dessert wine. $34 from winery. They aren't making any more; replaced with LH Viogner.

Pretty in glass with dark purple tones, aromas of black fruit and cedar. Palate rich, with black cherry, some funk, a touch of rubber and spiky tannins that need a year or two more to resolve and integrate. Medium finish, and very food-friendly. Great effort on ths small-production varietal that is rarely grown in the USA.
