This bottle has been open a number of days. Aroma is rich red fruit, dark spicy tannins, oak. Taste - fresh red fruit, chalky/spicy tannins, some spices.

This was fine for the half bottle Rioja itch. Medium ruby in color. Aromas of black cherry, freshly tilled soil, chocolate, and green/vegetal element. Medium+ body, acid, and finish, with cherry, chocolate, and earthiness carrying through on the palate, along w/ some vanilla as well. Mid-palate's a little hollow, but it comes back for the finish. A correct Rioja that I probably wouldn't seek out, but I'm not mad at it either. Worked well w/ bean burritos, and the wife commented that "it really brings out the cumin," which interestingly it did.

Very nice Rioja. I did not notice the high alcohol content. Med to full bodied, dark color, typical rioja flavors.

Very nice nose, drank well right out of the gate. Don't think it got better or worse with time. Very pleasent and easy drinking. Solid wine at a decent price point. Something you can share with serious as well as casual wine drinkers.

Getting some age on it, a bit of dried flavors coming through. The fruit is still there and pleasant to drink and enjoy but an $18 tempranillo can do this so it feels like an 87-88 pointer.

Strong nose! Menthol and blackberry to the nose. Blackberry and spice to taste. Great body. Lasting. Smooth to finish. Tannins, spice at the end. Tannins and spice stand out a little intensely. Needs to sit two more years to really impress.

Favorite from the high end Spanish wines tasting. I didn't think I liked riojas much but this is more my style. Thick and juicy with plenty of black fruit. Drinks more like a California Syrah. A crowd pleaser. Great value!

Sour cherry, simple. Little of the subtlety or old oak flavor that I like in Riojas. Maybe that's because it's straight rioja and not even a crianza. It did gain a little more bass notes 2 hours after opening, but still nothing to write home about.

A little hot seeming on the nose and first taste, but great flavors of cherries and berries throughout. Pretty classic Rioja style.

Medium intense aromas of stable floor, vanilla oak, dill, some funk, a little herbs and some raw wood. Medium acidity, medium bodied, round tannins with a low intensity and a bit of a short, slightly warm finish.
Decent nose, but lacks depth on the palate.

Another wine from our top shelf. First encountered this at a Suppliers wine tasting and could not wait to climb into a bottle when I got home and boy was I not disappointed!!! Full and powerful to start but finishing the bottle 24 hrs later it have evolved into something quite special. Silky smooth with a lovely long finish, it will always be a top shelf wine in our house.

It was OK. Decent enough, and easy drinker, not very memorable but in no way bad. Cost me around 9 euro, I think. A fair enough price though maybe 7 or 8 euro would be more appropriate.

De color rojizo granatoso de capa alta, extremadamente extraído, cerrado, opaco. Reflejos rojizos, vivos, brillantes.
