4/11/2024 - BrunelloBob wrote: 95 pointsPnP and drank over two hours. This has matured nicely into a very traditional Brunello. Fantastic, intense nose. Spice--oregano, basil. Tobacco, dark fruit--blackberry mostly. This was excellent, but not the "unique" wine I had when it was much younger |

4/11/2024 - Vinnut Likes this wine: 93 pointsDeep dark garnet in color. Full, forward & attractive nose of ripe fruit aromas of cherries, blackberries & plums with overtones of earthy/dusty & floral notes of violets, spices, herbs, tobacco, leather, minerals & hints of balsamic & cedar notes in the background. Full bodied with very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, ripe fruit flavors of cherries, blackberries & plums with mushrooms, minerals, cocoa, herbs, spices & a hint of oak/vanilla. Long lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present with decanting & extended airing but should develop further with additional aging at which time it may score even higher (94+). |

3/31/2024 - Eantnay Likes this wine: 100 pointsFirst of three bottles purchased in Nov 2021. Perfection! Decanted for three hours, but didn't really need it, as the aromas of herbs, black cherries & earthiness were leaping out of the decanter on the initial pour. Dark, rich and full-bodied; lays like velvet on the tongue, with soft sweet tannin on the finish. Served with the Homemade Lasagna course on Easter Sunday. Had to give this wine 100 points because I can't find any aspect that could have been better. Absolutely the deal of the century from LB at $49. |

3/31/2024 - A&C Likes this wine: 93 pointsThis was delicious out of a 375 ml. Perfect in its drinkability window. Excellent fruit. Perfectly ripe. Not too early to drink. Paired great with chicken piccata, bucatini, artichoke, and homemade Ceasar salad. It has been a full weekend of Easter Brunches, and I decided to jettison the memory of the two buffets and cook a real meal with real flavor. This wine was a perfect treat on a cold, Winter-Spring night with Christina and Morgan. Happy Easter!! 1 person found this helpful, do you? Yes - No / Comments (1) |

3/23/2024 - Cellarmauz Likes this wine: 90 pointsCellared and tasted at 10 years age. Drinking well- flavorful rich Sangiovese fruit but also good structure and lingering aftertaste + 5 seconds. Very nice effort for the vintage from one of my favorite producers, and a very good value. |

3/10/2024 - Mta5007 Likes this wine: 93 pointsDark crimson to brownish red at rim. Aromas of cooked cherries, leather, earth and baking spices. On the palate still a bit tight after 30 minutes of decanting, with red cherries, plums, chocolate, earth, pepper, cedar/oak and quite a bit of earth and spice at the finish. Medium + acid. Medium + alcohol at 15%. Medium body. Still has time to reach its peak. |

3/9/2024 - SimonDong wrote: 93 points93+. decant for 10+ hours. start off with lots of funk, then turn into lots of mint, 10+ hour later, finally showing what its made of. concentrated red fruit, raspberry, red cherry, black tea, high acid, dry and tannic on the palate, plenty of chocolate and oak notes throughout and nicely integrated. Still very young and tannic, chocolate and rice cracker finish with good length. strange wine, changing a lot, but when its on point, its very nice. |

2/4/2024 - Tonythefish Likes this wine: 90 pointsmedium red color. Lots of dark cherry but also a lot of oak. Not as tannic as what I remember tasting in Italy when we purchased it. Like all Italian wine, very food friendly even with the oak. Did not decant as it opened nicely in bottle |

2/21/2024 - Tim Heaton Likes this wine: NROpened for a friend that had never tried one from La Serena (loved it). PnP that's consistent with the bottle I opened a year ago: very good. Medium+ body, perfectly judged oak expression, very fine-grained, sweet tannins, etc. This is letting you know just how great it is while at the same time, if you're listening, can hear just how good it's going to be, too. I've gone through a few of mine too quickly by some measures, yet I have zero regret; it may shut down, and I'm going to choose to live in the moment, the future being a quite uncertain thing. 'excellent' was first and final thought. A brilliant future. highly recommended |

2/19/2024 - Brianknance Likes this wine: 94 pointsWhat a treat! Earthy tones upfront, and then a lovely shot of cherry and some iron filings. The finish is a little austere, with big tannins and 15% alcohol. This will continue to drink well for many years. |
