Medium finish. Paired well with beef chicken pork cheese and everything else a Brazilian steakhouse could throw out. Crowd pleaser for sure. I’d guess 3-5 years of shelf life, not built for the long haul. |

Good acidity. Doesn’t need food to be enjoyed. More red fruits than dark fruits. Super juicy. Overall a very nice showing. Gave the wine two hours of air before consuming. |

Fruit-forward nose of fresh, and bright cherries on center stage with the mildest earth and chocolate aromas in the background. Fruit-forward on the palate as well: bright and lively fresh cherries, with a touch of cocoa and vanilla - a bit reminiscent of a Neopolitain ice cream cone, scooped from 1 side of the tub. Robust and full flavor density; light to medium body. Still some unresolved tannins and a bit of acidity - plenty of room to run. Medium to bold finish with short to medium length (good for Malbec). *Luca is an Argentinian wine producer founded in 1999 by Laura Cartena (4th generation of Catena Zapata). *This is their flagship wine and the negotiant fruit is sourced from the Uco Valley from vines with an average age of 55 years. Barrel aged in French oak for 12 months. |

Slightly closed and tight at opening, but 20 minutes in the glass really opened up into a beautiful wine. Our group of 10 drank 8 bottles, a sign of deep enjoyment. Truly excellent! |

Nose is red flowers, plum, blueberry, spice, light leather and light tobacco. On the palate it’s very smooth with some oak showing along with the dark fruit (both black and blue), leather, light herbs, red flowers and light spice. The finish is long with the floral, spice and fruit continuing. Very, very good. It’s still very modern in style as in ripe and soft tannins and medium acidity but still very good. |
