Color rojo cereza, ribete rojizo intenso, capa media y gruesa lágrima bien tintada.

from magnum to thomas 40th birthday. decanted for 10 hours, still young, fresh dark berries, spicay, pepper, herbs, cherries, ripe, fine strong acidity, not owerpowered, delicious tannins giving a good backbone, drinkable over the next 10 years at least, I guess from Mg even 15-20 years possible to reach his peak,
lost barely against the Latour 2006, missing the elegance and complexity of this wine in nuances, 94+, 50+5+13+17+9

Consumed a small pour over about an hour. An interesting oxidative and still fruity style. Rich and creamy, almost bone dry. This would be enjoyable if someone else is paying for it.

Dark gold color. Drank 1 glass over 25 minutes. The nose has beeswax, subtle cedar dust, hints of fusil, honey, oxidative, phenolics. The palate has some earthy character, beeswax, crisp, good acid, flavorful, balanced, meyer lemon, tangerine, good length and balance. Nice complexity and quite interesting. 90 to 90+pts.

Amazing nose - sweet spices, bacon, juicy cherries, red flowers, crushed stones. Not overly sweet or heavy at all. On the palate very precise and focussed. Fresh, juicy, intense, energetic. A little tight and restrained. Impressively persistent finish. Very good. Should improve over next couple of years. 92-93+

Serve this cold because the heat comes through at cellar temperature (14.5% ABV on the label). A massive modern wine. Not for me.

Pretty consistent with previous experiences, wonderful purity of Chenin fruit, with medium plus acidity and terrific finish, really glad to have grabbed a few more

Lovely wine - nice balance of fruit and spice, not ripe, mouth coating. Perfectly drinkable, and in a really nice space.

Better than previous bottle only because the crisp acidity lacking in the previous bottle is so apparent in this one- wow... Otherwise, the last note works here as well... With the ultra long mouthwatering finish....honey suckle, acacia, lime, grapefruit, stone fruit and a certain minerality- full bodied, unctuous texture, long finish- Blend of Chenin Blanc (it's South African after all), Viognier, Marsanne, Roussane and some grapes I've never heard of- not sure of percentage). Still young and aging very nicely. Very reminiscent of the 2011 and 2012 we had this past summer in South Africa- world class wine.

Integrated and at its peak... Black fruit, tar, pastrami, iron, pepper, smoke, touch of petrol. Sweet tannins, deep texture, long finish. A delicious wine. We drank several different Sadie Family wines last summer in South Africa and they were well made, interesting, world class wines. The whites, blends of old vine unusual varieties are well worth looking for as well.

Far too young to be drinking this now, but wanted to check it out. Really opeenned up in the decanter after about one hour. More of the typical burnt rubber of some SA wines. This is the real deal. Good balance and nice purity of fruit.

Wet wool, minerals and ripe, slightly honeyed stone fruit on the nose. Fresh, mineral, vibrant with excellent balance and impressive length. Will keep, but drinking very well. 92-94

Lemon, nuts, honey, floral notes. Deciduous forest, citrus zest. Very subtle, long finish. Really quite complex harmonies. Some unripe apple. Quite a lot of warmth in the taste.

A day later: even better. Complex notes of lemongrass and thyme. Melon.

Still very young; has many years left in it.

Very good, highly impressed.

Nose completely dominated by ground coffee and spicy new oak; nice texture on the palate but builds to quite a harsh finish - acidity really sticks out. I think I'd tire of this pretty quickly.

Lovely depth on the nose and high intensity on the palate. Very well balanced and polished, but with good acidity and tannins. Will probably keep for plenty of years to come, but drinks good now as well.

Won't score as this is only from memory.

Spent an evening with this one on a sidewalk in Walla Walla (don't laugh, it was at a restaurant table). Hard to pin it down, but my overall impression was of an incredibly harmonious wine... nothing out of place, seamlessly pretty. Delicious; probably even more so with a few more years' age on it.

This just isn't ready, perhaps even in a dumb phase. Even with aerator, a few hours in a decanter, then recorking and trying later this didn't fully open up. Saw a peak though - and loved it! Reminded me of Yarra Yering in style, and in need for more aging than some people expect... subtle mint and great structure with that aromatic quality that will really come alive with time in bottle. This has a better mouthfeel though. Drink from 2020 onwards, I've been conservative here - significant upside potential (wouldn't be surprised if this turns out to be ~95pts).

South African reds in Mozambique; 3/10/2015-3/17/2015 (Pensao Martins at the Pool): Laser-like focus and full of life. Tannins quite snappy, spices, coffee, cassis. This is really good right now but my suspicion is that this will be even better with time.
