4/24/2024 - mliszt Likes this wine: 96 pointsopened at 2:30 and left in bottle and started to drink at 5:30. just wonderful and better than i expected not that i should doubt Torrin. not one to speak of tasting this and that, but i go for aftertaste and smoothness and if good with food. to me no negative after taste, as easy to drink as can be and does enhance the food i am eating (tomatoes and burrata) i find the 2016 Paso's really doing well right now and this will not disappoint. how much longer it has I leave to the experts but i will try one a year for the next 4 years and then i will be out of stock |

4/22/2024 - mvande21 wrote: 90 pointsDecanted three hours. Dark. Bold black fruits, blueberry and pepper. Some burn from 15.8% alcohol that didn't let up. Full bodied with integrated tannins and a long finish. 2019 vintage was much smoother and more precise. |

4/20/2024 - Sanlucar Likes this wine: 92 pointsMassive fruit bomb, very jammy, with rugged tannin and high alcohol (15.7%). It's just been released; time will soften and round out the sharp edges. Difficult to consume on day 1, so I drank most of it on day 2 (very wise move). Rated 92 points because of the super intense flavors of Mourvedre (40%) (wild herbs, violets, sage, lavender and roasted thyme) and the balance of Syrah (31%) and Grenache (29%). Oak & smoke are evident but under control and not excessive; solid wine. 2 people found this helpful, do you? Yes - No / Comments (4) |

4/16/2024 - AGELVIS Likes this wine: 94 pointsOne hour decant. Very very deep magenta color. Black cherry, slate, peppercorn, plum skin, sea salt laden chocolate, nutmeg, rose petals, and subtle roast beef. Smooth, dry palate, with sizzling acidity. Firm tannins on the medium long finish. 47% Mourvèdre, 35% Syrah, and 18% Grenache 1 person found this helpful, do you? Yes - No / Comments (1) |

4/1/2024 - mvande21 Likes this wine: 94 pointsTwo years since previous notes, mostly the same. Paired with pizza, short decant. This wine blew away the 2020 Booker Vertigo consumed alongside it (similar blends). Good precision and balance. |

3/24/2024 - Chris Giammona Likes this wine: 95 pointsA very good Grenache! Used Coravin over 3 days and got better on days 2 and 3. Red fruit - mostly cherry, licorice, spice and only a small hint of pepper. Medium color, very soft tannins, and a decent finish. I really enjoy Torrin wines! |

3/18/2024 - YankeeRobio Likes this wine: 98 pointsAbsolutely stunning wine with a one hour decant. 47% Mourvèdre, 35% Syrah, and 18% Grenache, all putting forth their best characteristics. Seductive entry, velvety tannins, great plush mouthfeel. Dense muddled Marionberry, smokey blueberry, faint sweetened strawberry, anise and slight charcoal. Building depth with time in the glass, this is a polished, classy and hedonistic offering by Scott Hawley. Bravo. 5 people found this helpful, do you? Yes - No / Comments (3) |

3/18/2024 - Gnieboer Likes this wine: 92 pointsIntriguing bottle. Strong acids upfront focus the fruit on a sour cherry presentation. The tannins on the backend have clearly softened after nearly 10 years, but hold up to the frontend and make a nice finish. After about seven hours in decanter, though, the last glass did kind of go flat and get muddled. I'd say this is ready to drink now. |

3/5/2024 - MaxFinnance Likes this wine: 89 pointsI agree with two of the three most recent reviewers, this bottle was in decline and showing a lot more secondary/tertiary character, with minimal fruit notes. I would look for occasions to drink your last bottles sooner than later. |
