Youthful, soft ripe fruit. Lifted aromas. Savory and some spice. coffee, mocha, touch of leather. Slips down easily. Lovely mouthfeel. Still some tannin and a decent enough backbone to see it through a few more years.

Still lots of red fruit and a mellow smooth (if slightly short) finish. Not much acid and tannin left. Does not have the peppery bite of a Shirazbut not sure if that is a function of aging or it is made that way. Nontheless, was great with a beef bourguiginon

Game of Rhones (Carriageworks, Redfern): Muted and strangely metallic, there is a green note here as well. Bitter and unpleasant on the palate. A bit nasty.

Peter Bourne GWT Limestone Coast Cabernets Star Performers Tasting (8 Danks street, Sydney): medium plus intensity aromas of spice, blackcurrant, it's a bit smoky as well. On the palate the wine is dense with black fruit flavours, it's juicy wand long with tannins join but all very balanced, spice and tiny cream & vanilla notes join the fruit on the long finish. Good

Peter Bourne GWT Limestone Coast Cabernets Star Performers Tasting (8 Danks street, Sydney): Medium minus intensity aromas of blackcurrant, peppery spice, graphite, cedar. In the mouth the wine is juicy, with blackcurrant flavours and then a bit of a mid-palate scoop then finishes with drying tannins that close everything down a bit on the finish. Time?

Slightly past peak, but it comes alive with good red raspberry fruit with some time in the decanter. Drink now.

A bit light for the steak I paired it with it. Yummy almost jammy at the front with tannins in the back.

Decanted 2 hours. Very good, polished, with typical Yalumba character and what you'd expect in a Shiraz-Cabernet blend. It's still too young, though. Drink 2018-26.

Drinking fantastically after an hour of decenting. Big, rich, multi layered with a long finish but also well balanced. Black fruit, pepper, spice, and licorice.

- Brick color - After a good 4 hours out the bottle, the fruit and tannin structure started to shine. Silky smooth, the black fruits beautifully interwoven with the oak and balanced nicely on the finish. Needs the right glass to get the real value and complexity of the wine.

The wine looks crimson colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. The body is full. The wine has smooth texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has medium acidity.

I feel personally that this wine is far from ready for drinking and that I should wait another couple of years before opening the other bottle.

Irresistibly ripely fruited. Great to drink. Plums, currants, dark chocolate. Blackcurrant. Dried leaf though is it gum or bay? Full bodied, fleshy, minimal structure, fine silty tannins. Balance spot on, finishes long. Shiraz flesh on stricter cabernet backbone is how it seemed to me at times, unusual for a cab shiraz blend that the components seem so distinct. I like this best of any Scribbler vintage that I've tried.

brown/ yellow colour
amazing nose - butterscotch, tonnes of brandy, nuts and vanilla
MASSIVE wine
Still plenty of fruit here, oranges, nuts, molasses, toffee and brandy
long, long, long
So concentrated it's quite hard to drink more than a sip. It's actually now more like a brandy than a wine. I could still taste this an hour later.

Raw fresh blue fruit on the nose, clean
Mmmm very nice, big, meaty and savoury
COuld almost be something densely, French, Cornas perhaps, but then this lovely ripe fruit kicks in to let you know where it's from. SOme herbs here too.,
This has huge potential.

Some Coonewarra fruit in here
Spicy plummy nose, clearly very ripe fruit in here
Red, pale rim but not showing much development
Quite a bit of tannin
Still packed with oak, lots of vanilla here
Tastes young but finish is very drying
I can't quite see this turning into something beautiful or that obtrusive oak going away.

Some Coonewarra cabernet in here
Odd nose, some minty notes as you might expect but also something like asparagus, peppery with some red fruit
Still quite tannic, structured but mellowing
Dark choc, some oak on the finish
Supple and drinkable but not hugely intense
Ageing nicely though. Still plenty of fruit
