Golden yellow with a nose of subtle pineapple and a taint of Riesling like petrol. Fruit is mellow on the palate but silky smooth and long lasting on the finish but definitely fading.

Really interesting Niagara wine, made in a appasimento style (like amarone) with Italian grape varieties planted in the Niagara region. The result is a very high quality wine with a lot of complexity. 2015 being nearly 10 years old already is showing some signs of color change. Clear red with dark orange hues. Nose is of dried red fruits, chocolate and orange peel. On the palate, red cherries, cranberries, candied orange peel, chocolate, cinnamon and nutmeg. Medium finish and very soft tannins. Less deep and bold like an Amarone would be but I'm glad that they didn't try and just replicate Amarone and made a style of their own. Very well done

Crafted using 100% Pinot Noir, this has an elegant medium to medium-high intensity nose that is dry, crisp, and fresh with currant, red cherry, grapefruit, strawberry, dried herbs, and spice aromas. On the medium to medium-full bodied palate it has a slightly creamy textured mouthfeel that is supported by very good acidity. Lovely aroma replays shine through harmoniously on the dry flavour profile. It has a crunchy mid-palate, while grapefruit, red cherry, mineral, and herbal notes linger on the long, complex finish. Score: 91+ pts

The medium to medium+ intensity nose delivers black cherry, earthy, and beet root aromas with touches of dried herbs. It's medium to medium+ bodied on the dry palate with attractive tea leaf notes joining the aroma replays on the flavour profile. It has very good acidity and tannins, while being well-structured with very good length on the long, harmonious finish.

The wine looks light gold colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like lemon and nutmeg. It tastes like lemon and alcohol/hot. The body is light/medium. The wine has silky texture. The wine finishes short. The wine has high acidity.

The wine has a lovely aroma of cranberry, cherry, potting soil, and blueberry. On the palate, you will taste tart flavors of cherry, cranberry, citrus, and a hint of prune with a mineral finish. The finish is quick, but the wine is a delight to drink and pairs fantastically with frits. I recommend another two years before opening.

Seemingly well-stored bottle. Poured very dark. Sweet, lots of cherry. Would be interesting to compare to a younger bottle, which unfortunately I don't have.

Clear pale ruby/garnet; clean medium plus nose of ripe red cherries, strawberries, balsamic, moist earth and savoury herbs; dry: high acidity; medium plus tannins; high alcohol; medium plus body; medium plus flavour intensity; palate has fruit payoff and is simpler than nose; long finish; still developing - drink now or in a few years; pretty nose gives way to a rich, appassimento and laser-focused palate; curious to see how this evolves

Clear pale Ontario brick; clean medium plus nose of ripe red cherries, soil, dusty library, florality and barnyard; dry; medium plus acidity; medium plus tannins; medium plus alcohol; medium body; medium plus flavour intensity; palate is tarter with the addition of tart, under-ripe fruit, dirt and a skunky note; medium plus finish; past its prime - suggest drinking future releases within 3 to 5 years; a very promising nose gave way to a very challenging palate; we didn’t finish our glasses, never mind the bottle; funk did not blow off over time

Light ruby, nose is a bit closed red berries and hint of spice. Medium body with cranberries dominant, high acidity and a bitter finish. It has cellared well but not certain it will improve. Plan to leave half the bottle to see if it improves overnight.

Bold, rich Cab dominant blend. At nine years of age this is showing few signs of evolution. Aged 24 months in new French oak. Deep, inky purple in the glass. Nose dominated by blueberry syrup, menthol, new leather and smoke. Firm tannins, powerful acidity and lovely alcohol integration. Flavours are rich and sweet and well matched to the nose. Ripe blueberry, black cherry and blackberry. Excellent length. Probably better in 5 years.
