Light translucent ruby in the glass - as light as an Etna Rosso. Red berries on the nose.

Sweet & sour red fruits on the palate - comes across as somewhat dilute, but pleasant enough, and reasonable persistence on the finish.

Not bad for an entry-level Pinot.

Not that fragrant for a Pinot but plenty of good fruit on the palate with mainly red berries, maybe bit of black cherry and some slight spice, earth and high acidity. This is $30 in Australia, if it were $20 it would be pretty good value.

Medium ruby with a light nose of candied fruits. Tart red berry with a mineral hint, light acid, medium body and fruit, some ripe strawberries with a little va and chewy tannins and a tart ripe fruit finish.

balanced, earthy and low-ish alcohol. Light structure with raspberry and plum tones. Lacks distinctive character that I hoped for but a finely made, cool pinot

I agree with the professional ratings for this wine. It is outstanding. Medium bodied with dark red color. Complex flavors of berries, plums, and spice. Perfectly balanced, no edges. Long finish.

This is as fine a Chardonnay as I have tasted, whether French or American. Fresh with spicy pineapple and pear and a great bright lingering finish. Dry, but with plenty of fruit. Has just enough toasty oak to body and flavor, but balanced by acidity. It gets better as it sits in the glass.

It had a really interesting transition. Started as a heavier Pinot but evolved to a full bodied cab style after 30 mins of being open. I like so much better after the transition.

This is an OK pinot, a bit light-bodied, tobacco, cherries & green pepper on the nose. Smooth. But it does lack character and the finish is short. A good pinot at a reasonable price is hard to find these days. And to top it off, an hour after a glass or two, this gives me a throbbing headache.

The wine looks rosy colored. The legs are slow. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like black currant (cassis), grapefruit, raisin, plum, pomegranate, stoniness, mineral, oak and clove. It tastes like blackberry, black currant (cassis), fig, cherry, oak, clove and stoniness. The body is light. The wine has juicy texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has medium acidity.

Dark brown-red, clear. Burnt toast, green pepper, cherry on the nose. Moderate tannin and acidity. Sour cherry, toasty oak, black pepper, menthol on the palate. Long finish.

Tastes more like a cab than a Pinot. It's so overdone. I would not buy this again.

I've been drinking some fine S.B. lately. And i haven't had a chard in a while. Possibly for both reasons, my enjoyment of this wine reduced a little from before. Not very interesting, although I appreciate its sub 13% abv.

Translucent ruby in the glass, thin tears. Clean, low-intensity nose of red fruit, earth. Flavor profile is straightforward cranberry, raspberry, some spice. Lean bodied in the mouth with medium alcohol, medium acid, medium tannin, finishes a bit short. Around $25 retail.

Playing a bit closer to the vest than the other 2013s I've had from here so far. Spritzy as they often are at first, so it needs a big shake at the start. Then it opens up with a fairly rich burst of sweet, glossy primary fruit, which fortunately takes just a bit of time to mellow into something more classic. Still a very clear sense of ripeness, with dark blackberry/blueberry flavors, but it really hits its stride after a few hours of air when it comes across super-refined with nice wisp of silky tannin giving it a soft, seamless comfort-wine texture.

Remember loving this wine when I tasted it at the winery, but unfortunately it is past its prime. Nice ruby color - more CA style than most lighter hued OR Pinots. Opened up and improved after 30+ minutes but clearly should have opened it a few years ago. Drink now as it is not likely to improve
