Decanted for 2 hours. Beautiful fragrant nose. Lovely complex palate. A bit tight but this should be amazing in a few years.

Very good but not worth the high price; luckily I paid a lot less for it at the time. Dark for a Burgundy of that age which shows that he goes for ripeness. Indeed the palate is round, smooth, accented on dark cherries and ripe berries, oak-infused and though very enjoyable to drink it is simple and I am not sure that this shows any terroir - it's almost New World is style. Time to drink up - this will only lose power and become limpid if you wait too long.

Fruit rond. Fond de petits fruits rouges. Peu de tannins. Facile. À boire jeune, je crois.

Slightly bitter finish, following a pleasing burgundy nose, and a slightly thinner than we would have liked start- or, I can't expect to have my cake and eat it. Having been seduced by some marvelous Gevrey and Echezeaux recently, and seeking that the next bottle will surprise us, I then can't complain if every Pinot seduction isn't the same. Good grief, what comes out of my brain this early in the am.

Oak (old one) seemed more present than last time. Nose was far more subtle than taste.

11th of 12, pnp, as 2013 note with broader maybe more harmonious flavours and less pinched. Fine (17.5/20).

By-the-glass at Georges V in Paris over casual dinner in La Galerie.

Pure, clean, spectaular pinot noir with a nose of strawberry and blackberry.

One of the best village Burgundy reds drank in recent years.
Terrific now but with stuffing to age for 15-20 years

Tawny color now. Slight cherry on the nose with a mix of cedar and olive. Definite earth on the taste, too. Finishes intensely but quicker than would like.

This is really quite modern. So sweet on the nose and the palate as well. There were earth and pinot-ness but still came across as very glossy and new-worldish.

Love the pretty nose here. Well-balanced, but compared to the Cathiard this was a bit more lithe and silky. Definitely has the pedigree. I like this!

This is a step-up in terms of mid-palate density/quality compared to the rest. Loads of extract here yet remains so balanced and classy.

Easy-going, friendly, light-weight. Doesn't display the class and refinement of the best. After the tasting it opened up more to reveal more elegance but this is not one built for the long term.

Ex-domaine half bottle. Stinky at the open. With air it blew off to reveal an old school bruiser of a dark fruited Vosne. Very deep, concentrated and totally unyielding. Much potential, tannins and structure here!

Nice, mildly sweet nose. Mineral on the palate with quite a serious, long finish. I guessed a top tier producer. Very balanced and refined. Many placed this as their TOP 3 wines of the day and based on votes is the WOTD.

Fairly pretty violet aromas but not the high toned kind. Quite a distinguished and structured wine. Dry on the palate. Tannins were noticeable and very dark fruited. After revealing, this made sense as the vineyard is at the NSG side.

A little oaky and extracted at the moment but there's plenty of dry extract here which bodes well for further aging. More masculine than elegant.

Pretty, pure and perfumed. Has some dried flowers to the aroma along with red fruits and some smoked meats. It is fine and lacy in the mouth with good detail of cherry and cranberry fruits and plenty of geological matter. The finish has an almost audible crunch.

Red and black berries on nose and palate with earthy, chewy, hearty character and mouthfeel that makes me think Morey from the very first taste. A few rough edges on finish. First bottle from a case purchase, I will give this another year to soften, but think this is excellent for its level. Best 2016-2022.

Cola, herbs, and a hint of tomato along with green, stemmy notes. While not offensive the '04 vintage notes are still dominant which is a shame because the palate here is just incredible. As pure silk in the mouth as any wine I can remember. Can only imagine what this wine is like in a great vintage.

Good cork pull but about 3/4 infiltrated but not degraded. Legs ran fast and fat. 1st day the wine was subdued, muted, and not giving up much but the true pinot noir grape flavor. Was soft and easy to drink and a bit bitter on the finish. very transparent and no one aspect overshadowed another. Day two, this was a different animal. Really nice fruit came forward, brighter acid too. Cherry perhaps? Finish lasted about a minute. Still soft but flavor on fully half of tongue, front half mostly. Th faintest remnant of drying tannins present. Fruit not overwhelming like American pinot but very balanced. This 2005 took a good day to show itself. I don't know how to predict further aging. Taking a full day to reveal the potential seems to indicate there is life left but this is a softer style of wine, very pretty actually. I liked the fact that day 1 the raw pinot grape profile was showing, then evolved into nice easy going fruit. I would buy this again and plan on drinking this in stages.

somewhat surprised this was even close to ready but it drank quite well, dense palate with good underlying fruit (leaning darkish) and with a really gutty, savory, barnyard-y, side to it that made it both interesting and very enjoyable... a big wine for a burgundy, nice but not something you would want to drink five night a week for sure... well done

Wow... this bottle was very different from my previous bottle... this had med plus body with nice red / dark red fruit foundation, great additional spice and light savory notes, great elegance while showing power through the body, not sure if it was the acid or something else but this was that great combo of deep flavor but light on its feet... superb (especially relative to my first bottle)
