4/22/2024 - gharter Likes this wine: 92 pointsPnP. Opens with raspberry, pepper, anise, vanilla, cherry, plum and floral aromas. Still has plenty of fruit showing blackberry, raspberry, cherry, plum, anise, black pepper, floral, and light vanilla notes. Medium body with silky tannins. This was very rustic on release and has mellowed nicely with time. Drinking very well now, but has years ahead of it. |

4/19/2024 - AllRed wrote: NRFriday Group Brown Bag Tasting (EBCC): Double blind. Garnet core with a touch of bricking. Aromas of earth, baked red berry fruit and white pepper. More dark fruit than red on the palate, along with the white pepper elements, finishing with good length. Very good but difficult to identify. Of course once the bag came off the baked fruit and pepper notes made sense and we clearly should have picked this out as a zin. (R&D) |

1/11/2020 - VAGenius Likes this wine: 91 pointsDusty raspberry with a hint of confectioner's sugar. Black raspberry fruit is a touch rustic but fairly light on its feet. It expands on palate with dry blackberry before leading into tacky tannins with black plum and dusty earth on the finish, |

4/12/2024 - North Willis Likes this wine: 92 pointsDouble decanted and drank about 4 hours later. Loads of ripe, black cherries, with savory and coffee notes. Fine grained tannins. Fairly long finish. The acidity gives the wine a freshness which is wonderful against the powerful fruit. |

4/7/2024 - Mortgage92 Likes this wine: 92 pointsRidge....Zinfandel....do I need to add anything else? The mellow body of this wine with the moderate legs on the glass accented by the mild tannins, acidity with the lasting finish, what more could a person ask for...a longer life. Yes, there is still life in this vintage and bottle, but it is drinking very nice now, so why wait? Even if it is your last bottle you will not regret consuming this wine now. Enjoy! |

3/29/2024 - markydecker Likes this wine: 94 pointsSolid 94 and last of my two magnums. This is now perfectly in the drinking window. 1 hour decant. Slightest amount of bricking. Dense purple in the glass. Enticing aromas of earth, forest floor, garrigue, dark fruits. Beautiful balance, nice acidity, tannins smooth and integrated. Just a beautiful wine. Opened at family dinner and it was loved by all. Consumed quickly…. |

3/23/2024 - MattJ Likes this wine: 93 pointsAt or close to peak. I generally don’t drink Zinfandel as frequently too jammy, overipe syrupy medicinal concoctions. But….Ridge do it better than most. I’ve been drinking their zinfandels for 20+ years. Masterful winemaking and blending. Restrained dark fruits, strawberries, some vanilla balanced by a hint of acidity and pleasant finish. Enjoyable to the last drop with and later without food. If you have these I’d drink in the next 5 years. |

3/18/2024 - Bjweiss Likes this wine: 94 pointsHard to find a better wine that Lytton Springs with ten years of bottle age. So wonderfully complex. The tannins are in a great place. The wood is in the background and inviting herbal notes to the wine. Balanced and restrained. Can’t ask for more. Awesome wine. |

3/3/2024 - timewithwine Likes this wine: NRA blend of 70% Zinfandel, 21% Petite Sirah, 6% Carignane and 3% Mourvedre. The well integrated flavors of plum, molasses, cinnamon, Zin funk, brambles, and a bit of rhubarb dance across the palate. Nicely balanced and very ready to drink. It may continue to develop some bottle sweetness, but it’s delivering plenty of pleasure now. A good dose of sediment. 14.4% alc. With Pierce’s pork BBQ. 03.03.24. Recommended. |
