This was a very pleasant surprise. Forward fruit of lemon and peach with smokey mineral notes. Slight sweetness is cut by notable acidity. This wine is a complete package. Very enjoyable now but will go further.

Medium straw colour. Fairly evolved nose with honey, dried apricot, citrus fruit, tropical fruits and petroleum. Medium-bodied with complexity and balance. Long aftertaste. Will continue evolving nicely over the next 5 years.

Medium yellow. Mineral and stone fruit notes barely discernible under a cover of strong petrol/lanolin scents that continue in the mouth, which is quite full with high acidity. Slightly edgy at times but quite good overall.

Sweet nose with flowers, citrus, tropical fruit, orange notes. Roundish body with high acidity but overall good balance. Lovely tropical scents in the mid palate which follow through to the finish; lots of residuals. Lingering

Appearance: Clear, medium lemon.
Nose: Clean, medium intensity, petrol, citrus - lemon and orange, honey, developing
Palate: Dry, medium(+) acidity, medium alcohol, medium body. Medium intenisty flavours of citrus fruits - lemon and orange, hint of petrol and honey, mineral, with a medium finish
Conclusions: Good quality Alsace Riesling, nicely balanced, but would have expected more development and intensity by now; drink now - not suitable for further aging (although no immediate hurry).
Interesting to compare this to the Eichsberg from the same maker and vintage, which was much more developed with complex tertiary aromas, but was less freshness

Clear, medium gold, a little watery at the rim. Clean nose, medium(+) intensity, honey, floral notes (rose?), some exotic fruits (lychee), hints of peach and cloves. Palate: medium-sweet, medium(-) acidity, medium alcohol, medium(+) body quite full, medium(+) flavours, similar.to the nose, medium finish. Good quality, however acidity is only just offsetting the sweetness, and there's a danger of this going a bit flabby.

Still holding up, with floral aromatics. Just off dry. Refreshing acidity to keep it in balance. Quite enjoyable as an aperitif.

Superb gold color, feels a little closed, but in reality is already past its peak. Perfect with a cake on a wintery afternoon, but no longer one I would recommend for dinner. Time to drink it !

Nose of stewed pear, lychee, and powdered ginger. Palate is well-structured, with good acidity and a touch of tannin. Flavour of juicy pear, with hints of ginger and vanilla.

Yes, I know, 100? But it is for me. I like a Gewurztraminer that smells and tastes like roses, so this is, for me, the best Gewurz I've ever had. I do not get the "hops" comments of earlier reviews. It's complex, floral, viscous, rose petals, and the ultimate most technical compliment - "dee-lish"! I have two bottles of the 2011 vintage and am anxious to see how they taste. This is a 5 (of 5) on the ozzie wine rating scale - it's a wine I'd drink again and again...and again...I'd go out of my way (and did!) to buy more...a memorable and fabulous drinking experience. A classic!

golden colour, a little watery at the rim. Classic Gewurtztraminer on the nose, honey, floral notes (rose?), some exotic fruits (lychee), hints of peach and cloves. Very full in the mouth, long finish. Has definitely got sweeter since last tasting, and acid backbone is perhaps less strong. Actually somewhat overpowering for the smoked salmon that I paired it with. Overall, an improvement, but probably drink in next 12-18 months.

Spatlese style, rather sweet and rich. Not a dinner wine -- aperitif or dessert. Rather flabby and fat to my CA tastes; Would like it with more acid, but a nice sipper on a warm day with fruit and cheese.
