Full bodied, quite rich and going towards tropical fruits. In particular pineapples. High notes of citrus and flowers. No sign of ageing other than being very open now. This is really a beautiful riesling.

From 75cl, perfect cork. Improved steadily during the hour after opening. Gentle floral/honeysuckle scent with just a hint of Alsace smoke; delicate, light-bodied entry with tangerine fruit, a little ripe lime juice and just possibly lychee. (The fruit descriptors here and in other people's TNs make this rather refined wine sound more up-front tropical and punchy than it is.) Bright mid-palate acidity well in balance with gentle, "off-dry" sweetness. Long, poised finish. Ready now, will certainly keep five years. 89-90P

Nice nose, better mouth, and good length. Bitter mouth with grapefruit, somewhat reminiscent of what I think of as Gewurtztraminer, though still quite Riesling in nature. A great drink.

Quite grapy in the bouquet with apples as well. On the palate a touch of sweetness, litchi, lemon ans lime acidity. Ok wine, but not really exclusive.

Very solid showing! On the DZH indice scale, I'd give this a 2, tops. Very big and rich in the mouth, and featuring a tell-tale Riesling nose of petrol, minerals (i.e., wet slate), lemon, and grapefruit. Still quite acidic and structured, but accompanied well by the rich, decadent mid-palate of candied lemon drops. The finish was suave and long as well. In good shape now, but I don't think there's a hurry here - a little more enjoyable than the '04 Gewurztraminer Furstentum Veilles Vignes, which was slightly more austere and sharp. Either enjoy now, and hold over the next 3-5 years (or perhaps even longer).

Table 21 (Volt): Stone fruit with secondary spice flavors resulting in an intriguing wine. Great acidity. The wine worked very well for the three vegetable courses.

From .375, this was light gold, slightly sweet but balanced. Full bodied but not viscous. I think this will become less sweet and more silky with 5 more years.

It’s been a while since I have had a white wine that has really grabbed my full attention, and boy did this Riesling deliver. The palate impact was immediate and penetrating, citrus juices (predominately lemon) work their way into all the nooks and crannies of the mouth, leaving a powdered, stony residue in its wake. The palate weight conveys a rich and luxurious feel to the proceedings but no actual sweetness is tasted a trait that this Domaine is so skilled at producing. The acidity is strong but so evenly spread out that it avoids as coming across as aggressive, in fact, I’d say elegant is the more apt adjective. Long and very impressive on the finish. This is still a very young wine, and I hazard a guess will continue to develop gracefully for another decade and hold perhaps another 10 years after that. Superb.

Very nice Riesling for the price. Good acidity, but pretty much closed upon opening. The wine began to open after about 45 minutes as the fruit began to emerge. Day two and the wine had taken on some weight and the fruit was more prominent. I enjoyed it more on day two. According to the producer’s web site, “it must be decanted.” Will try decanting my next bottle.

Hard to go wrong with this cuvee. Color darker than most vintages of this wine--golden in color. Quite sweet on the nose at first, with more petrol-y notes coming through with air. Has a certain weight and sweetness up front in the mouth that gives way to a very dry finish. I'd drink over the next year or two. alas this was my only bottle.

Very pale straw.
Ripe fruits, melon, pear, peach and a little honeysuckle. Very refined and pure.
Velvety, medium weight. Highly focussed but with an extremely smooth entry and lengthy finish. The acidity is slightly hidden by the fullness and depth of fruit plus a fraction of residual sugar. Perfect ripe fruits, lovely minerality and a smooth creamy finish. Not a blockbuster at all, but drinks beautifully.

This deep golden wine was tasted in double-blind fashion, with the bottle being generously provided by K.J. Intense aromatics of honey, petrol, apricots, peaches and white flowers are followed by a medium-bodied palate with similar flavors. The wine's mild sweetness is beautifully balanced by its crisp acidity. Listed as 13.5%, the alcohol lurks nicely in the background. Layered and mouth-coating in the middle, it closes with impressive length. This 11-year-old Riesling is undoubtedly at its apogee. Enjoy it over the next 3-4 years. Drink now-2019.

Evolved, quite deep golden colour; rich nose, earth and honey, peachy fruit, good depth but also with a hint of oxidation; dry and powerful palate with noticeable bitters, low acidity, hint of yellow apple, not a lot of varietal typicity anymore, is losing grip and feels a bit long in the tooth; good length. Should have been consumed earlier. On the basis of the 2001, 2002 and 2004 vintages, it looks as though l'Inédit is best in its first decade, but this still lasted for days in the fridge without any difficulty.

Not at the same quality level as the 2009, but this is also a very good Grüner Veltliner with white pepper notes and some sweet tropical fruits, also apples and kiwifruit. There is a noticeable amount of residual sugar in here, something I don't like so much, and the acidity - although present - is not as high as in many other GVs of the vintage. - 89 points

Drank this at Le Charsseur tonight with a group of wine enthusiasts.

Light yellow in colour with a pleasant, floral nose.

On the palate the wine presents moderate levels of sweetness, and a slight bitterness in the finish. Some lemon and lime notes to provide this wine with fresh citrus and acidity.
