Dried cherry, dusty earth, and a hint of vanilla on the nose. Medium bodied and very smooth. Similar flavors with a ton of layers. Will probably evolve quite nicely over the next several years.

Dense and rich flavor and mouhfeel. Intensity reminds me of a Helen Turley Martinelli. Floral perfume says Oregon, but... wow! Not what I expected, but I like it. 14.6% abv seems very high for Oregon.

Nose starts out with some dark purple fruit and spice but devolved over time into a little off-putting band-aid smell....wish it weren't so...

Oddly, if you don't inhale and drink it is "ok" but not much more.

Nice out of the bottle, with good earth and spice notes to complement the red fruit. I found it to be not as enjoyable as time went by though. Tasted alongside a 2011 Bergstrom Shea, which took a little more time to open up, but which was superior in the long run

Decanted at restaurant. Started drinking after a mere 15 min, but never really improved like I was hoping. Certainly a solid wine and admittedly consumed in less than ideal circumstances at a restaurant, but still, so was last nights Bethel Heights Pinot and this just never wowed like that one did. Not that this went down hill...didn't really seem like past its prime...just never evolved at all.

Very nice Pinot drinking well. A bit more earthy than some of the Oregon Pinot's but well balanced, fruit forward, and a bit drier on the finish. Paired well with pork tenderloin and salmon

Too alcoholic and didn't have the fruit to balance it out - reminded me a lot of an overripe California pinot.

One of the best wines I've ever tasted. Garnet/brick in color, purple rim, medium legs. Decanted 3 hours. Nose opened up with a strong black cherries, black raspberries, and Logan berries, with a background of smoke and old growth forest floor. Dark fruits on the palate, with sufficient acidity to provide a crisp and bright pinot. Tanins were silky-smooth, with a lingering fruit and smoke finish. Drank father's day with BQ salmon. Terrific wine; well worth waiting for.

Garnet with a tinge of brick. Initially lots of savory herbs and mushrooms on the nose, more dark fruit as it breathed. This was elegant, mature - but not old, with subtle strawberry, red raspberry, orange rind, and savory notes that are just beautifully done. Ken Wright's Pinots do age well. I did not get any of the heat others have recently mentioned. Went well with Salmon. These are excellent young but also are interesting to keep and drink over time.

Lovely red apples, fresh citrus, and strawberries on the nose. Opens very bright and fresh with cranberries and strawberries, with hints of kiwis, nectarines and apples mid to back-palate. Great acid! A favorite rosè from the 2013 vintage!

Decanted through a strainer for one hour and then returned to the bottle to take to a party, along with other serious wines. No detailed notes. This one was a big hit, even among those people who professed not to like Pinots. Remains one of my favorites.

I agree with some recent awful experiences with this wine. However, I see some tasting notes from a few months back are OK. Perhaps there was some of this wine that was shipped/stored together under poor conditions. Otherwise, it is hard to explain the decent reviews from March, or so. Am going to try one more bottle over the weekend. If it is like this one, I will just toss the last couple of bottles.

Deep dark garnet color. Opaque. Complex aromas of intense raspberry, cola, cinnamon, spices and vanillian. Flavors of blackberry, cassis, raspberry, black pepper and spices. Big and intense fruit. Excellent structure. Tannins are fairly well resolved, but still slightly noticeable. The nose is exceptional, thus the score, as opposed to 92. I like this slightly better than the Shea Wine Cellars Shea Estate.

TTTG (Brian's House): This has completely fallen apart, syrupy mess doesn’t even begin to describe it. Compared to the last bottle I had, a little more than a year ago, this appears to be a completely different wine; dominated by overripe black fruit and alcohol. The former bright grapefruit streak that once gave lift in the middle has devolved into a green, herbal hole in the palate. Really disappointing.

Poor

This wine started out barely drinkable. After being decanted for an hour it had improved to being decent but not much above that. We had friends over so drank another bottle after tasting this. After another hour in the decanter we moved back to the KW and all the red fruit and spice emerged turning this into a really good tasting bottle. Some of our group wanted to score this at 90-91.

Aromas of cherry, earth and bramble. Classic St Innocent. Big expressive fruit. Red fruited with a savory finish. Medium tannins and concentration. With some airtime, I really like where this is at but probably best to wait a few more years.
