We enjoyed this, it outshone a 2004 Chianti Classico Riserva we opened on the same night. Full flavored, fruity, rich. Oak was present but not overwhelming. (206 views) $ FIND THIS WINE on WINE-SEARCHER.COM $ |

I disagree with Gary Vaynerchuk on this one (he scored it a 79). Nice & round - well balanced. Nose: A little tobacco and spice on the nose. Pencil shavings. Taste: A little thin. Red fruits - licorice.
Good QPR for $11. (314 views) $ FIND THIS WINE on WINE-SEARCHER.COM $ |

Excellent QPR. Ready to drink. Nice body, round flavors. Didn't give it a fair test, since it was consumed at a party with pot-luck offereings and many distractions, but the bottles certainly emptied quickly. (403 views) $ FIND THIS WINE on WINE-SEARCHER.COM $ |

Opened and tasted. Tobacco and licorice nose. Fresh flower petals initially transitions to pencil shavings and cedar. Nice core dark fruit. Short finish with silky moderate tannins. Quite interesting. (615 views) $ FIND THIS WINE on WINE-SEARCHER.COM $ |

Lots of oak, oak, oak. Lovely wine, went well with a roast and red wine reduction. (623 views) $ FIND THIS WINE on WINE-SEARCHER.COM $ |

More impressive than the last bottle, this has a big, spice filled bouquet of cherry licqueur, raspberries, spicy oak and dried spice aromas. The palate is medium bodied and has sweet fruit, medium concentration and a smooth texture that leads a medium finish. There's a lot of oak influence to this wine but it comes across as spice driven and not overtly oaky.. having said that, if you have em, drink em. An average red with short finish and disappointing body. For the $$ there are many better. (726 views) $ FIND THIS WINE on WINE-SEARCHER.COM $ |

The oak comes through, but not to excess - indeed nothing is to excess, just a regular nice rounded somewhat fruity wine held in check by the oak. (811 views) $ FIND THIS WINE on WINE-SEARCHER.COM $ |

The nose was much more intriguing than the palate - pretty oak heavy, but it came through in leather, cigarbox, mild campfire, and pine. Smelled just like an old cabin in the woods.
On the palate it was sweet fruity, which was disconcerting, and all mismatched with the secondary flavors from the oak...Certainly a disjointed wine as others have noted, but with the way people were talking about it I honestly was expecting somethign that tasted worse than ass sweat.
I'd give it 82-84 pts...No QPR for whatever I paid for it, but not an unpleasant drink... (916 views) $ FIND THIS WINE on WINE-SEARCHER.COM $ |

Smoky black cherry, raspberry, tannins and oak show themselves in a god way, fairly long bitter finish. Pretty good QPR. (1266 views) $ FIND THIS WINE on WINE-SEARCHER.COM $ |

Popped and poured, not expecting much. Intense earthy dark fruit and licorice....a bit yeasty at first. Spicy blunt fruit on the palate after 15 minutes, a bit hot and awkward on the finish so far. A hour late had not chanced much but was a good match for spicy Indian food. Not a sipping wine but a pairing that complemented the food...just what I was hoping for. A 79 as a sipping wine, 84 as a food wine. (1349 views) $ FIND THIS WINE on WINE-SEARCHER.COM $ |

Good black fruit but very hot and a little off balance. Better on day two. Day three it was game over. (1476 views) $ FIND THIS WINE on WINE-SEARCHER.COM $ |
