4/9/2023 - Socrates Likes this wine: NRNose is beautiful. Heavy flor aromas carry unroasted cashews and almonds with just a hint of orange oil. Palate is light and fresh with an attack of orange oil, lightly roasted cashews and almonds and a big salty finish. A golden brown color that could be easily mistaken for Amontillado, but not surprising for en Rama. Definitely best with food, but delicious on its own. |

Once it warms up there is a beautiful minerality with over-ripe lemon highlights. The tropical fruit recedes a bit and the cotton candy disappears. It's not pithy or tart, but the acidity is still kicking. Food wine more than an easy summer sipper. |

There's a hint of tropical notes buried deep with, but this needs time. Really good now, could be great with a few years. I'd give it 4-6 years, but it could definitely go longer. |
