i hope the only reason why i liked is not the fact that i got about 60 bottles of LLM stuff. This was my first one, and of course all LLM stuff is beyond good.

paid too much for 2 of these from spectrum. wa said it was old ct said end of life. opened, 1 hour and looked good, nice rim and healthy color. compared to that ohio river looking 67 lafite i had 2 weeks ago , this looked great. smelled below average and taste...trying to tell myself it was ok, but below average. in fact, wife said no good, bottled it up and into frig and subsitute was teh 85 L'Eglise Clinet. so next day, out of the frig, warmed up and it was ok, little less than the 85 mouton that was end of life time. today, had another glass with spaghetti and this trotanoy seemed to be above average. last few sips were delicious. wondering waht the heck to do with that other bottle, doubt if i can do the same aerating procedure as this one, but not end of the world that i got that spectrum 400+ special. Color excellent, nose, average, and taste...gotbetter over the3 days.

didnt think it was that close to the end, another 5 years is my guess. opened a 71 trotanoy for eve dinner. thought it was old, bummed with the spectrum purchase , but had it again after this and it was not that bad. so less bummed about the trot. couldnt jump forjoy though on this mouton. aint no margaux....the 96 is my gold standard.

1963 Château Latour Grand Vin

Pauillac Red Bordeaux Blend more

Wonderful shape still. Much better than the 67 Lafite that i had with it, almost as good as the 02 Lafite. Less though than the 86 Margaux and 95 Screamer that topped the evening off. Surprised how well the Latour went down the second night. MUch more enjoyable for me , good bouquet and taste was balanced.

3d place behind the 86 Margaux and 95 Screaming Eagle but better for sure by a bunch over the 63 Margaux and 67 Lafite (high school graduation and why in the heck did i get 3 of these?)

I had the 95 Screamer a 67 Lafite,02 Lafite, 63 Latour, 86 Margaux to celebrate the blessing of the cellar and just to celebrate a good day. The wotn was the 86 Margie, screamer two and 02 Lafite was third. Got a scatch handicap when it comes to buying and collecting but I am a total chopping hack when it comes to tasting. The older 63 and 67 were well past their prime, 86 was superb and the eagle was almost there with it. 67 Laf was cloudy, not too good to smell at first , taste was ok, but for sure tired, 63 looked good, ok taste but no where near the top 3.
