Tasted double blind. Much more Cayuse than Grenache in style, but oh so good. At first reaction I thought it was Pinot, but then when the minerals are so extreme and the green olives come into play, then it has to be Cayuse and given the light style it had to be GOK.

Yes it is less dense than the Syrahs but that is intentional and works well with this wine.

This has passed the initial fruit driven phase and has entered into the first secondary stage. Amazing richness, chocolate, hazelnuts, cherries. Extremely long finish.

Rum, creme brulee, candied sugar, black tea. This is soooo rich and soooo opulent. It just doesn't quit. An amazing wine! He only thing that kept it off the 100 mark was that the nose was just shy of the experience in the palate.

Less rich and dense as the Yquem 1937 next to it but stunning on a whole different level with pure elegance and an abundance of different fruits. Apricot, peach, coconut. Nearly feels young. This is amazing stuff, you have to love it!

Caramel, chocolate, some petrol, very warm nose, extremely dense, AMAZING!!!!!
