In a beautiful spot right now. Elegant, refined, understated fruit and long silky finish. Not unlike high end village Chambolle-Musigny.

For lovers of classic Chablis, this ain’t it. Very soft, broad, open knit. Really pleasant flavors but none of the tidal pool, oyster shell, lime zest flavors that make me love Chablis. I usually like this producer but many 2018s from many producers seem to be in this category of soft wines with little raciness.

Great QPR. A nice blend of red and blue fruit, forest floor, earth, and sexy Pinot flavors. Very attractive nose and length for this level. Can’t get much better Pinot for this price point.

Ripping wine. Spicy nose, fragrant raspberry, blueberry, sassafras palate. Beautiful acidity and a touch of well integrated oak. This competes favorably with Roar Pisoni.

Very serious Pinot at this price. Focused red fruits enveloped in a tightly wound package of fine mineral and tannins. Like drinking 1er cru cote de nuits with a hint of Russian River underneath the hood.

Absolutely loaded with stuff. Asain spices, deep red fruits, unmistakable gravitas in the mouth. Ridiculously young at this point though.

an early front runner for wine of the year. Aromatically complex. Dead ringer for a barbaresco aromatically and somewhat in the mouth. Superb balance and captivating layers of flavors. Stunning.

Drank over a three day period. Very tight the first day. Lots of cherry and leather but all balled up. Unwound nicely though. Very enjoyable on day 2. At this point I would say its a very good wine but not a great one.

Very rich for Chablis but still nice delineation. Baked pear and spice. Good acidity. Was nice accompaniment to dungeness crab on toasts.

Had 3 different bottles of this on different nights over the previous holiday season. Found on sale for $39. Great price for this wine. I don't know the blend but I suspect higher in pinot noir as the structure seems evident to me. This is a fairly mouth filling glass of bubbles Great verve and minerality. A nice note of yeastiness plays off the minerals. Just a touch of sweetness perception. Nice stuff.

Drank out of mag at dinner with Paul, Hannah, Joe, Nicole, Clay, Holly.

A little funky for the first 30 minutes out of the bottle. That all blew off though and we were left with good bottle. Lots of wild brush notes on the nose. Very intriguing. Tastes of mixed red and black berries, plum, tiny bit of leather. Plusher than I thought it would be in the mouth. medium-low in acidity.

Drank on Christmas Eve with family. Still drinking well and tasting fresh at this point. A fairly plush and forward style although not overblown by any means. Rich plum and dark berry notes. Rich texture. Some well integrated spice notes.

Just released, obviously a little tight now but what a classy wine! Tasted blind and immediately thought Bordeaux. Pencil lead and currants. Fine tannins. This is enjoyable now but will be stunner in 5-10 years.

Had a pretty nice mag of this champagne last night. I found it to be quite good. The color is more copper than rose. Understated nose of orange blossom, strawberry and maybe even tea. There's a nice mousse to it and feels about medium weight on the palate. Restrained pinot fruit in the mouth and a little saline quality on the finish . Great structure to this champagne as well.

Lots underneath the hood here...unfortunately it is not on display yet. Even after 4+ hours in decanter, still pretty closed in on itself. Elegant but firm tannic structure. Red fruits buried below. A bit of iron/blood/minerals. Great energy but I'll wait at least two years to try another.

Upon opening the stemmy quality is dominant but with air it fades to the background. Absolutely fantastic orange, tea, rhubarb on the palate. pointed minerality. My favorite element of this wine is the almost saline quality on the finish. This is one of those wines that practically vibrates with tension. Extremely well balanced.
