1/17/2021 - haonusa Does not like this wine: 87 pointsFor lovers of classic Chablis, this ain’t it. Very soft, broad, open knit. Really pleasant flavors but none of the tidal pool, oyster shell, lime zest flavors that make me love Chablis. I usually like this producer but many 2018s from many producers seem to be in this category of soft wines with little raciness. |

6/9/2010 - haonusa wrote: 93 pointsVery serious Pinot at this price. Focused red fruits enveloped in a tightly wound package of fine mineral and tannins. Like drinking 1er cru cote de nuits with a hint of Russian River underneath the hood. |

12/24/2009 - haonusa wrote: 92 pointsHad 3 different bottles of this on different nights over the previous holiday season. Found on sale for $39. Great price for this wine. I don't know the blend but I suspect higher in pinot noir as the structure seems evident to me. This is a fairly mouth filling glass of bubbles Great verve and minerality. A nice note of yeastiness plays off the minerals. Just a touch of sweetness perception. Nice stuff. |

12/19/2009 - haonusa wrote: 91 pointsHad a pretty nice mag of this champagne last night. I found it to be quite good. The color is more copper than rose. Understated nose of orange blossom, strawberry and maybe even tea. There's a nice mousse to it and feels about medium weight on the palate. Restrained pinot fruit in the mouth and a little saline quality on the finish . Great structure to this champagne as well. |

12/18/2009 - haonusa wrote: 93 pointsLots underneath the hood here...unfortunately it is not on display yet. Even after 4+ hours in decanter, still pretty closed in on itself. Elegant but firm tannic structure. Red fruits buried below. A bit of iron/blood/minerals. Great energy but I'll wait at least two years to try another. |

12/12/2009 - haonusa wrote: 94 pointsUpon opening the stemmy quality is dominant but with air it fades to the background. Absolutely fantastic orange, tea, rhubarb on the palate. pointed minerality. My favorite element of this wine is the almost saline quality on the finish. This is one of those wines that practically vibrates with tension. Extremely well balanced. |
