2007 Wedell Pinot Noir Sta. Rita Hillsmore |

2011 Bedrock Wine Co. Casa SantinamariaSonoma County White Blend more |

That being said, this wine has a nice minerality on the nose, as well as a floral approach (which I love all around). A thick mouth feel which is appealing with the cutting stone notes. Pollen and straw notes follow on the finish. Enjoyable especially with fish. |

2008 R. Stuart & Co. Pinot Noir Daffodil HillWillamette Valley more |

2009 Patricia Green Cellars Pinot Noir Estate Ribbon Ridgemore |
12/21/2011 - fostermc Likes this wine: 90 pointsThis is the ultimate wine to experience the essence of terroir. This wine begins with a barnyard nose, and brings a very 'earthy' flavor. In fact, it is pretty overwhelming at first. HOWEVER, let this wine rest and it is terrific. Suggest you decant or leave open for an hour or two before drinking, if you must drink now. Perhaps we opened a bottle too soon. Give it a year or two. I know I will not be seeing this again for a while. The potential is excellent. |

2008 Remy Wines SyrahRogue Valley more |
10/21/2011 - fostermc Likes this wine: 90 pointsThis syrah is all about balance. The fruit is a center black cherry (and I agree with another note - a graham cracker on top. The tannins are subtle but lend a perfect balance to the fruit. You get the sawdust of fresh cut oak on the nose when opened, which falls away as it opens. This syrah lacks the traditional pepper of some syrahs, but would still stand up to a nice steak. |

2008 Lange Pinot Noir Lange Estate Vineyard Dundee Hillsmore |
9/13/2011 - fostermc wrote: 91 points- Ruby color and aromas of raspberry and cherry. It's balanced and has flavours of strawberry jam, mushroom and chocolate with a medium body. Smooth texture - Among my favorite Oregon Pinots, with great balance of earth and fruit. Medium cherry with a little dirt. Light but still flavorful. Well balanced. |
