9/1/2022 - CalypsoPoet wrote: 94 pointsDark cherries on the nose. On the pallate medium bodied deep rich dark fruits with some vanilla and a long finish. This is an amazing example of Mexican vinicukture and I highly recommend it. |

2003 Corison Cabernet SauvignonNapa Valley more |
11/3/2016 - CalypsoPoet Likes this wine: 89 pointsMuted at this time, with a drinking window of 2011-2016, I should have drank this a few years ago. Still a fine cab, though not the Corison it was a few years ago. Would have been a 91-92 cab had I drank 3 years ago. A fine Corison representation, though definitely over the hill at this point. |

NV Viña Palaciega Malbec RoséMendoza more |
5/28/2015 - CalypsoPoet Likes this wine: 86 pointsnothing special here... your straightforward, mostly dry rosé - this time a Malbec rosé - that is perfectly quaffable in the hot summer. Label talks about red berries, thyme and rosemary. If I stretch my imagination I can probably get on board with the herbs. But let's not complicate things. This is a < $11 bottle and for this price range it's perfectly servable and serviceable. |
