5/11/2010 - lpk22 wrote: 88 pointsI disagree with previous reviews on this wine. It is still ruby, but getting a little brown around the edges. Brings out alot of caramel/toasty notes, but still has lots of red fruit left (cherries). Initial smell is a little alcohol-ish, but the flavor is still very vibrant. Very little earth or mushroom on this pinot. This is my 2nd bottle - consistent notes over both bottles. |

3/14/2010 - lpk22 wrote: 90 pointsOpened and decanted for 2 hours. Deep ruby color. Initially, this wine was mostly smoky tobacco. After about 4 hours, more fruit and chocolate started to come through. Nice full finish. Definitely should have decanted it longer before starting it because it was really great after 4 hours in the decanter. |
