Where are the low ratings coming from? This is a medium body elegant Nebbiolo. I think it is still a bit unsettled from the shipment to me but the tart cherry and strawberry fruit is lovely with a wonderfully elegant light dry and long lasting tannin finish make this extremely easy drinking. In the terms of Barolo and Barbaresco, this is a lovely feminine Nebbiolo. I will enjoy this for the next two years.

Just a few months in the cellar and the wine is coming together. Balance is coming along and the big fruit is showing heavy cherry right now. The 14% alcohol is hidden behind beautiful fruit and tartness and smooth medium dry tannin

Don't remember a thing about this wine so obviously it was not horrible nor was it meritus. I would presume it is probably in the range of 80 points but won't give it an official rating. Sorry about my feeble mind not working here.

Nice integrated taste with medium sweetness for a Spat. A touch of acid and lots of smooth tropical fruits. A nice wine but bought it after seeing reviews in the 90s and was disappointed that it didn't make 90 in my assessment. Does not strike me as a long lasting wine for the cellar

Disappointing for this age of Spat. It was ok but too acidic and not in good balance.
That being said it is holding up well with no significant oxidation taste; fruits are still there with citrus being predominate. Let's see how our additional 4 bottles do in the future.

Mineral Cab nose. Flavors the green pepper/green olive typically from underripe fruit or too much stem. finish was notable with a light smooth tannin that lingered in the mouth for a long time. This is a typical cheap Cab from Mendosa-tolerable but nothing to write home about

Had a bottle open of 4 days and each day it developed and improved.
Day one was about tart fruit (85); day 2 smoothed out the tartness and allowed some tight tannin to develop(86); day three the wine smoothed and the tannin turned silky(87); day four the fruit and tannin integrated into a silky smooth and lush mouth and long finish(88).

I really don't know what to recommend as far as aging to bring this out....my guess is to age for another 3 or four years to allow it to integrate in the stored bottles. It has some acidity to support aging but it will be a race between aging nicely and just getting old.

This is a nice new style Riesling-- Crisp front, Smooth middle and Tart finish. It is not my favorite style of Riesling, but this wine allowed the fruit to show off a good bit. This is a wine that will improve over years, it shows layers and leads with an incredible diesel character. Time in bottle will integrate those flavors -- just remember with the Stelvin cap keep it upright in your cellar!

This is a big frit and heavy wine with a bit of strong earthy bite. The finish has a heavy tannin and big full mouth. Give this wine some more serious time in bottle to develop. Very good now but I expect even better in a few years.

Again no official rating number so I don't bias the CT rating. I think this bottle told me more about the wine. It is opening up as it rests and it is developing more integration. I think my last comments of the wine getting to its peak are a bit off. Based on this bottle I think it needs a couple of years or more to peak. Tight tart cherries and a medium acidic tang; dust, dirt and light mushroom middle; nice light-medium tannin finish.

Big river is a big wine. There is a lot of briary red fruits up front and a tight middle; the end is oaky, smoky, and a smooth tannin finish. This wine needs some more time to develop-- at least a year or two.
