At the PEF dinner at our house, decanted this for about 2 hours. Served with our tomato and burrata terrine...turned out to be a greta match and big hit with the crowd.

Consistent with prior notes: "Medium ruby color. Earthy, mineral nose, floral notes. Gentle , Burgundian mouthfeel. Cranberry, tart red fruit, licorice and a hint of clove. Strong and earthy with elegant, restrained character."

The longer decant made a difference here, getting much more in secondary flavors. The wine is still on the primary side, drinking well with bright red fruits and good level of acidity. Good now but I think this will continue to improve, have a few bottles/mags to let rest for a bit

At the PEF dinner at our house. This was a fun addition, having purchased at the winery in Chile that week stuffing in my luggage. Had not had the Chardonnay from this producer previously.

Medium gold color. If tasted blind I would have guessed a cross between a Corton Charlemagne and high end California. Creamy vanilla and citrus, burnt suger, creme brulee, butterscotch. Really nice stuff and, when purchased at the winery, an incredible QPR. Not sure how accessible this is in the US - comparable to the best of CA Chards...

At the PEF dinner at our house. Drank next to an Arnot Roberts Rose to compare styles - fun experiment to do, especially with non_rose drinkers.

Very different, this one split the crowd. Would say the Margui is the more elegant of the two wines, AR more fruit forward.

My prior notes hold: "nose of white flowers, citrus, ocean. Palate is elegant and fruity - light strawberry, peaches and grapefruit. Bright red fruits, nice acidity, lingering finish."

Crowd showed a preference for this over the AR

At the PEF dinner at our house. Decanted for about 2 hours, drank over 2. This was served with a tenderloin w/port sauce, Drank next to a PNV Napa Howell at the Moon - for contrast on two very different wines.

deep brick red color. Nose of dark fruits, burnt caramel and herbs... beautuful during the decant, really jumped out during the pour. Palate was a savory blend of blackberry, black cherry, kirsch, herbs de provence, spices, peppercorn, garrigue. Long and nuanced finish

CdP in 06 was generally considered an "off" vintage. This wine is certainly hitting stride, very impressive showing for a classic CdP. Great now, my guess is it will continue to improve. My WOTN

Consistent with prior notes, coming into a good spot. Dark maroon color, still looks young. Nose of dark/black fruits, mild floral notes. Palate of blackberry, pepper/spice mid palate, anise and cedar. Long and layered finish.

These bottles (2), were a little less primary than the last bottle, suggesting the wine is settling in. Mountain fruit is evident, drinking really well now, will be interesting to see how this evolves.

At El Mirasol in Buenos Aires, fantastic steak restaurant with a very authentic Argentinian menu. Popped and poured, drank over an hour with rib-eye and short ribs...

Dark blood red color. Nose was black fruits, herbs, some barnyard which blew off. Rich dark fruit profile, plums, cherry. Savory notes, baking spice, anise, cloves. Rich mouthfeel - would have guessed something other than Malbec (Rhone maybe..)> Finishes medium.

Very young, will benefit from a couple years again, my guess it will be in its zone then. Perfect complement for any steak dinner...

Dark color, nose of dark fruits, floral, graphite. Great bouquet, would likely continue to improve with air time. Dark fruit profile on the palate: plums, black fruits, blueberry. Elegant, feminine wine. Will improve with cellar time.

At a David Arthur tasting we hosted. Decanted for about 2 hours, drank over 90 minutes.

Consistent with prior notes: "Nose, of red and dark fruits. Deep red/garnet color, classic mountain fruit. Dark fruits, cherries, chocolate with hints of tobacco on back palate. Lavender/floral notes. Big tannins, baking spices on the back palate."

The air time helped this bottle open up - given the youth and the strength of the vintage, best to try to lay this down for several more years. Its a huge wine that will only get better as it becomes less primary. Excellent!

From a 3L, had the distinct pleasure of drinking this with the vintner David Long at a tasting we hosted. Drank alongside the 2012 Elevation 1147. Decanted for 2 hours, drank over 3.

Dark garnet color, no visible signs of aging. Nose was Marguax-like: dark fruits, floral, earth, mushroom. Palate was dark cherry, blackberry, cedar, mushrooms. Nice combination of Pritchard Hill fruit with an earthy elegance.

In a great spot right now, although hard to compare as this came from a large format. Not an exceptional vintage for Napa, but this held up well. Great wine from a great producer

On Paul's porch, Central Park South, beautful evening to be drinking wine. Has been in my cellar for a while, time to check in on its progress. Decanted for about 45 minutes, drank over an hour. Decant is preferable, the wine opened up nicely, I suspect it would do even better with more air time.

Dark purple color, some fading at the edges. Nose had a rich dark fruit and spice character. Palate was dark fruits, bluberry, framboise, pepper, coffee, carmel. Finishes long, 30+ seconds. While this is an Aussie Shiraz, it is a refined and elegant wine, nicely aged. It is rich and concentrated in the Aussie style/tradition, but allows for secondary and tertiary flavors.

Great experience previously with BCH wines, this bottle shows these wines do age well and add complexity. This is in a great spot right now, I think it will continue to improve. Best guess is 10+ years in drinking window from here

Deep garnet color, still appears youthful. Nose of dark fruits and earth, shoe polish. Palate is dark fruits, coffee grounds, earth notes. Drinks hot, alcohol is 15%, not a problem in itself, but overwhelms the fruit on the mid palate.

not bad, won't improve much. not as good as the last bottle

At home with burgers, punching up an ordinary meal.

Consistent with prior notes: "Dark garnet core, some signs of bricking and age at the rim. Nose was classic St Julien, graphite/pencil, herbs, floral/lavender, earth, early funk blows off. Palate is a savory blend of dusted raspberry, meat/savory, dark fruit, cassis, coffee, truffles, cedar/cigar box. Oak is well integrated, tannins are present but mellowed. Elegant mouthfeel, light and low ABV (this bottle marked at 11.5%)"

I think the wine is peaking, this bottle may have had less fruit (by style or age) than the last one, as I remember. Elegant, well aged Bordeaux. I think this will be at its best in the next 3 years, seems to be entering a tertiary phase.
