On the palate, sweet fruits and tobacco, but with fairly high acidity and some tannins. Long finish but slightly astringent with a bit of heat. Ultimately lacks depth and strength. Yet I still find it enjoyable overall, and good with food. |

I don't get the comments here about it needing age, I suspect it'll just fade due to imbalance. |

More earthy on the palate, with juicy red fruits balanced against vanilla and eucalyptus. Light and mostly resolved tannins, good acidity. Slightly hot on the finish-- is it fading? Probably. Still a lovely example of nearly 18 year old California Pinot. |
