8/4/2013 - lpoollad99 Likes this wine: 91 pointsReally nice and enjoyable wine - light in body with its Merlot base showing through. Earthy nose with an elegant almost fruity flavor. Could only find a single bottle here in Oregon and would love to find more. Do you find this review helpful? Yes - No / Comments (1) |

7/24/2013 - lpoollad99 Likes this wine: 92 pointsCherries and leather on the nose - fantastic deep red hue - light on the tongue for something so colorful - soft tannins with a great finish - wish I had another bottle. Very solid wine and thoroughly recommended. |

7/11/2013 - lpoollad99 Likes this wine: 91 pointsWith its deep straw hue, the full bodied Chardonnay has a nose of butterscotch and tropical fruit - almost sweet on the tongue with a lengthy finish. A fun wine for all seasons. |

2008 Stonestreet Chardonnay Red PointAlexander Valley more |
7/5/2013 - lpoollad99 wrote: 90 pointsLow production (185 cases) high alcohol (14.8%) Chardonnay that carries a deep straw hue. While sitting under the Alexander Valley fog line, the low growing elevation certainly pulls heat from the valley floor leading to a tropical nose and long finish. Dense and full bodied. |

NV Monticelli Brothers Rolando RossoNapa Valley Red Blend more |
6/26/2013 - lpoollad99 wrote: 92 pointsA wine with a great story - which ties to it not having a vintage attached - each year, the Monticelli Brothers bottle 50% of the barreled nectar, replacing it with new wine - giving this wine an average age of 6 years. Fantastic with rich pasta dishes and highly recommended. |

2010 Stonestreet Sauvignon BlancAlexander Valley more |
5/11/2013 - lpoollad99 wrote: 90 pointsI always seem to enjoy all of the whites I drink from Stonestreet. This small production (387 case) Sauvignon Blanc does not disappoint - definately a great white for a warm spring afternoon. Grapefruit, pear and candy apple on the nose, solidly balanced with slight acidity that seems to tie it all together. Would certainly recommend and drink again. |

5/10/2013 - lpoollad99 Likes this wine: 90 pointsAlways consistent, It's hard to go wrong with a Jordan Cab. Found a great distributor out of Portland Oregon, Sec Wines, that I would highly recommend for the purchase of Jordan wines. |

2004 Burly Cabernet SauvignonNapa Valley more |
3/26/2013 - lpoollad99 Likes this wine: 94 pointsI love the wines made by Massimo Monticelli. The Burly brand is exceptional across all vintages. I cellared this for many years - waiting for the right moment to open as i only had one bottle and opened while traveling on business with a friend about to be deployed to Qatar. Great wine, great dinner at Carnevor in Milwaukee and certainly worth the wait and effort to carry across the country. |

8/18/2012 - lpoollad99 wrote: 90 pointsI agree with all who have posted that this will improve over time however, it was very well received by all this afternoon who had the chance to taste. A spiced nose similar to a Jordan Cab, the '07 Cyrus seems layered in both texture and taste. Astringent and oak'd for sure - one of those bottles you wish you would have left unopened to explore in later years. |
