4/7/2013 - Corrado Does not like this wine: NRThis is the first Woot Wine I've had that I absolutely HATE. It's a perfect wine for a Sangria or something that would benefit from the perceptible sweet flavor and finish of the wine. I have 3 bottles left and my first thought is to make a "wine cooler" with a 50/50 mix of seltzer and Pour Pour Me. #DoNotLike |

11/22/2011 - Corrado wrote: NRCompared with the 1st, I was pretty disappointed with this, even at the price point. Very little depth out of the bottle and fairly thin on the palate. Improved somewhat for the second glass and overall okay QPR, but not nearly the effort of Monkey Prize. |

7/16/2011 - Corrado wrote: NRTasted as part of an 02/03/04/06 vertical. General consensus was that this vintage was still not ready for immediate consumption and needed considerable decanting/aeration to be as balanced as the 03 or 04. Clearly good potential in the bottle, but I'll probably put a personal drinking window on my remaining bottle for 2015+. |

7/16/2011 - Corrado wrote: NRSurprisingly still a little tight out of the bottle and benefits from an hour+ of decanting. Also surprising was how the '03 (Napa) held up better into the following day for a re-taste than the '04. |

7/16/2011 - Corrado wrote: NRPossibly a bad bottle given the expected aging interval, but when tasted as a part of a vertical (02, 03, 04, 06), the '02 was falling short with muted flavors and more of a porty nose than the other wines. This particular bottle would certainly have not be quaffable in 2019, but did not have any evidence of failure or corking. It just tasted like its best years were in the past. |

2/13/2010 - Corrado wrote: NRI would hesitate to say that this is still in the "not quite ready" category. Very rough out of the bottle, tannic. Mellowed over the course of a few hours, but a longer decant is in order. Definitely more in an old-world-styled wine that does best with a rich meal. |
