Nice, pleasant, simple. ample red fruit and dried prunes. no doubt from napa but jammy without crossing the line. no excessive oak. drinking at peak with little upside of waiting.

Lovely signature dujac nose not quite matched by the palate. light and dainty like a ballerina on tip toes. delicate, floral with a hint of stem. finishes a bit thin and hard. nice drink but not one of the great dujacs.

much better than last bottle. needed an hour of air to really get going. honey and orange peel on the nose. waxy mouthfeel with a persistent sweet finish. for me still a bit of an acquired taste and won't make me throw out my white burgs.

Light crimson colour with a floral nose. Nice spice and dark fruit flavours with a dash of earth. Not the most substantial but a soft pretty wine. Very comfortable drink.

Had high expectations based on feedback from friends and CT reviews but was left somewhat disappointed. For me none of that signature Dujac nose. Came across as lean and slightly unripe with little of that soft supple fruit of the vintage. Best part was the amazing minerality which left a long aftertaste. A bit disjointed and uninteresting. Could be slightly tainted by TCA so looking forward to the next try as for me Dujac is normally super reliable even in off vintages.

Really nice. Not as meaty or exotic as before. Lovely smell of country side in provence. Good acidity and black fruit. Primary but in a good place now.

Green and stalky. Not charming at all and found it difficult to finish the glass. Maybe this could turn savory with more bottle age but you need to be a real optimist to bet on it.

Had this wine at least 3 times. Came across at first super ripe, meaty and exotic. When served blind it really took me to a cote du rhone or that one time I had a Williams Selyem pinot noir. Needed a good 30 minutes of air for it to settle and gain any semblance of a gevrey. For me this wine was driven by the vintage rather than place or domaine. Decent drink but not one of my favourite 1990s and nowhere near as good as the Rousseau Clos St Jacques 1990.

Classic nose. Quite firm crunchy fruit with some nice tertiary elements beginning to show. The slightly drying finish typical of the vintage (which is not one of my favourite) but I enjoyed both 88s today with a slight preference for the Dujac CdR. Drinking at peak but in no hurry either.

Classic nose. Nice spice but really tannic and hard as with lots of 88s. One of the better examples of this wine I have encountered but came across as rather charmless next to the 85 Vogue BM and 90 Dujac CdR.

I approached this with minimal expectations given all the warnings I've received about Vogue in the 80s but it really surprised on the upside. Outshone the 90 Dujac CdR at first but as the Vogue tapered off the Dujac continued to build. For me this had the charm of the 85 vintage with lovely balance and elegance. Lacked a bit of power and length to be truly great. In a wonderful place right now and based on this bottle I would be drinking these sooner rather than later. One of the few Vogues that impressed me after continuous disappointment!

I'm not going to score this. Smoke and burnt rubber on the nose. This drank a bit like a low alc dry sherry for me. Did not get a lot of fruit but there was a long liqueur like finish. I actually enjoyed it but I kept asking myself whether this wine was oxidised. Reserving judgment as I haven't had old friulano before.

More Burgundian than Californian. Quite simple red fruit with a bit of spice and earth. Decent acidity. Everything was kind of here but not enough weight to balance the 13.5 pct alc. Going in right direction but maybe just needed the vines to mature. In terms of typicity will hold judgment.
