It looks to me that the bottle of one year ago had some storage issue. While not as impressive as when younger, this bottle showed well with a creamy consistency, light lemon, custard, and pear with pleasant acidity and a moderately long finish.

A good bit better than my note of 29 months ago observed. Juicy and pleasantly tart. Some clove on the nose. Still pretty straightforward and pedestrian, but more pleasant and drinkable than I recall. No raisins.

Delicate for a Brunello. Ruby red, some slight tanning. Nice acidity with plenty of youthful vibrancy. Cherry and spice, with hints of menthol and mint. Medium but clean finish.

Really unusual, but nice as it gets some air. Lemon zest, peach, and honey in the palate, with a rather waxy and viscous body. Hard to gauge if this is a good qpr, as it may be in an odd place. Maybe give it two more years and see if it sheds some of its goofiness.

Not a great deal of change in the past 10 months or so. Dark gold showing age. Still has initial oak that blows off quickly. Then, pretty tropical fruit with honey, vanilla and toast. Last bottle for me, but curious how this will develop from here.

Darker than expected. Bland and pretty straightforward, though reasonably pleasurable given the qpr. Weighty, nearly oily.

Obviously a bit of a contrarian here, but a nice deep crimson. Barnyard nose, with plum, cherry and smoke. Little tannin and a bit soft. Hoped the barnyard would blow off, but after two hours it is still noticeable. Medium finish again on the soft side.

Pretty ruby red. Ripe cherry, tinge of orange, clove and caramel perfumes mix leading to a silky finish. More heft on the nose than tongue where the emphasis is on elegance. Nice value.

This is in a good spot right now. Light gold, just starting to show some tanning. Lemon, lime, light pineapple, orange zest nose all with a floral component. Bright and firm with nice backbone. Quite good.

Rose colored red with an alcoholic whiff. This bottle was a bit weighty in an unplesant fashion. Cherry, over ripe stawberry, and cola. Drinkable, but does not wear well.

Bright ruby red. Red raspberry nose with hints of cinnamon and clove. Plenty of firmness provided by round ripe tannins. Although light weighted, plenty full bodied in the mouth. Medium length.

Maybe holding these to unreasonable expectations, I was moderately disappointed. Quite oaky initially which left a unpleasant aftertaste. The moderated with time open. Ripe pear, ripe red apple, custard, vanilla sweetness and not quite as much acidity for balance as hoped.

Dark cherry with brownish edges showing a bit of age. Needs some time open to get by an initial dominating tartness. After a couple of hours open, very complex with dried rose aromas mixed with licorice. Thereafter, rose water, ripe cherry, a bit of interesting medicinal quality offered in an elegant package.

Perhaps suffering in comparison to the 2012 MacPhail Dutton Ranch, this seemed a tad thin. Light cranberry in the glass, with fragrant cranberry and strawberry. Delicate and graceful, all of which is good, with nice weight. A touch short and perhaps tart for my taste, at least in comparison to the much bolder MacPhail.

I agree with the previous note. This is very Burgundian and pleasurable. Pale straw, with stone fruits, basil, and coriander. The oak (20% new) is also very deftly integrated. Really quite good.

Been opened three or four days before I got a glass, but the wine shows incredible concentration and depth (still). Aromas are powerful but generally characteristic: honeysuckle and stone fruits. There's a little funk in the mouth, but its under an array of of other more prominent flavors: lemons, limes, grapefruit, pine nuts, and tarragon. Hard to make a comment on the acidity, given that I'm coming to this a few days old; but I can say that wine is powerful and has a weight, almost-tannic mouth feel. Clearly needs time to age/breath.

Interesting change of pace from 2011. The 2011 offering was under 13% alcohol. This is 14.1%. Six year old vineyard. Spicy red fruit nose leads to raspberry, strawberry, cranberry, red current. Quite fragrant and, this year, quite forward.
