Nose: The nose is flowing with red cherries, roasted herbs, dark red berries, earth, violets, and a touch of leather. There is a lovely layering effect on the nose with a seamless quality to it as well.

Nose: The nose is a bit reticent at first, but once it opens up, there is an immediacy to it with black cherries, chocolate, roasted coffee beans, raisins, blackberries, and some balsamico. The nose is deep with a real richness to it.

Taste: Full bodied with chewy tannins and medium acidity. The structure is clearly youthful with a coarseness to the tannins along with black cherries, chocolate, some raisins, blackberries, and balsamico.

Overall: This is clearly young and it needed the better part of 2-3 hours in the decanter to really get going. When it did, it was a gorgeous and layered Amarone that is more than capable of getting better.
