Cherry, baked cherries, in the bouquet...all a little subdued. Palate shows tons of red fruits but stays in check. So does the oak. A sweet entry, building to a rich full body that is quite deep. Picking up chocolate, coffee, mocha at various stages. Hidden tannins. Powerful, dry finish...a wave of red fruit and the darker coffee/mocha profile found in the mid-palate makes for a great ending.

Perfectly stored upon release. Very deep gold color whuch struck me as unusual, heavy weight, "smells like Positano", iow...bouquet shows crisp mineral, jasmine florals and citrus. It's very apealing. The palate however is tainted with a persistent bitterness. The vintage is likely mature at this point but this bottle shows much older than it really is. The oxidation here is unmistakable and unappetizing.

Very light gold color. Bread dough, yeast, creamy with a crisp acidity upon opening. Developed a lovely herbal scent I could not identify. At 3.5-4.0 hours...gorgeous, flint, smoke, a little skunkiness in the bouquet, palate is sweet with lemon and apples, chewy texture, followed by stoney minerals. Crisp, medium-long finish.

Starting to fade at the rim. Blue/black fruit profile complemented by charred oak and chocolate. Smooth, sweet entry but seems to be lacking structure/length thereafter. Finish is decent with a repeat of the dark chocolate note. Seemed to open further after dinner soo may have needed longer decant and/or another couple years cellar time.

A chalky medicine, green apple, vegetal, an old unkept refrigerator. Palate gained some weight? Sweet entry leading to a burst of delicious apples with hints of creaminess and a tangy spritz here and there. A really long finish.

Bouquet is tight but fresh with hints of olive. Superb mouth feel with a tannic structure delivering long length to a ripe sour cherry fruit profile. Long and dry finish. Still early for this one but the proof is there for this to be exceptional with further age.

Herbs and blueberries in the bouquet with macerated blueberries skidding across the palate. Medium weight and exceptionally smooth. Smooth, sweet entry with a great mid-palate and average finish. Paired nicely with a grilled strip at Ray's.

This was great but in a different way compared to past bottles. Less expressive bouquet...mostly ripe fruit, some caramelization, much less nuanced. Robust palate with a familiar composition of blue fruit providing richness/density and red fruit offering tartness. Fuller in body with more power than expected. Tannins were grainy, with some grip. Not as drying either. Pretty good finish...just made me want more.

Olives and ripe plum dominate the bouquet. Entry is smooth and sweet with the mid-palate showing off plum, hints of tart red fruits (cranberry, currant), chocolate and minerals. The richness and complexity here is moving. The finish is fine and the alcohol not too disturbing. This has evolved very nicely. [93+]

A warm bouquet, a hint of caramel and old oak. Ripe and dried cherries. A floral that reminds me of a peach. A little bay leaf but that's the only thing green about this bottle. Some crushed white stone crystallized into the fruit. So pleasant and drinkable. The palate is pure, smooth and long, nothing harsh. Tarry mineral in proportion to the fruit. Hints of power and tannin that lay beneath the calm surface. This has come around very nicely but still several years from prime drinking. A keeper, indeed! [94+]

This showed exceptionally well, as expected. Bouquet of lemon, lime and hints of apple with a tangy zip upon opening. It rounded out quite a bit after sitting around. Stronger grip on the palate yet smooth with some bitter mineral on the finish.

A beautiful bottle after a couple duds. This had sweet red raspberry and sour cherry compote accented by notes of fresh and dried fruits of the same. Hints of old cellar, mustiness and tobacco adds interest. Clean dark mineral shows up in the back palate. Superbly balanced and quite intense for the weight. The initial fruit extends through to a long finish with traces of mineral, coffee and tea notes.

Bouquet showing a lot of olive, hints of smoke and charred wood, cola and sweet blueberry, making an appearance. Tannins are a little astringent, there is some lively acidity here. The finish is long and sappy with a note of dark roasted coffee.

This bottle had an irregular shaped cork which lead me to believe a portion cracked off into the wine. I strained into a decanter but it was no where to be found. The bouquet had the same array of notes as the last bottle...olive, bay leaves, almond, black pepper and even a cheese-like note that I found interesting yet out of place. There is a red fruit profile showing very nice purity once the aromatics settle down. The palate is predominately red fruit with hints of oak and grainy tannins. Good length with an inconsistent finish...sometimes long with a few sips ending short. The quirks might be signs of awkward adolescence. With all of these components coming together, this may prove to be a very classy wine at maturity.

Cork slid out with little resistance. A redish-purple color, youthful, dances in the glass. Blue, deep and powerful aptly sums up the seamless or 'cohesive' palate. After 4 hours started showing interesting notes of graphite, vanillin oak, burnt mineral and black tea the long finish. 93+

Very little sediment. Ruby red color. A note of strawberry jam upon opening settling in with red fruits, lavender, hints of green tobacco and a little warm alcohol. The palate is fresh and tangy with great acidity. The purity and weightlessness on the palate is noteworthy. This has some tannic strength on the back end which is manageable and enjoyable, particularly while eating. The finish is long and balanced between the red fruit and minerals of asphalt and crushed stone.

Blueberries and red raspberry, a little smoke and a lot of alcohol summarizes the bouquet. A blue/black fruit profile dominates the palate along with interfering tart cranberry notes. The mid-palate has some chewiness to it. Gravel and asphalt minerals lead into, at times, a very long finish. [89-90]

Upon opening this showed some notes of dark fruits and olive that I found enticing. The palate was powerful with a firm mineral core. Over the course of the night the aromatics became odd and the palate very simple with a more red fruit profile that shows tartness on the finish. The structure that I thought this had disappeared with air. The finish was decent but didn't stand out in any particular way. Probably gave this too much air.
