Last bottle. Spices, charcoal, a bit rustic and finishes a bit harsh. Not as good as previous bottle but drinkable.

Pop and pour. Spice box, floral, white pepper, stone and red fruits. There is a flint character on the palate. Very Northern Rhone like and tasty. Drink now or hold for five.

Big Bordeaux 9: Not too impressed with the 96. Apricots, honey and minerals. I have had better of this Chateau and certainly better Sauternes for a fraction of the price. Overpriced wine.

Big Bordeaux 9: The hype didn't live up to the expectation. It is hard to believe my friend paid what he did for this wine as the 04 I am drinking now is not that much worse for the ware. Medium purple. Coffee, spice, blue fruits, and earth. Balance and elegant. Medium to long finish. Drink now to 2020.

Last bottle and this has been a great purchase. Concentrated wine with spices, dust, minerals, dark fruits and soy. Medium to long finish and complex. While not as good as the 82 this at $50 is far superior to the 82 that my friend over paid for it.

Fragrant nose of floral, raspberries, perfume and stone. Palate is exceptional and adds a nice element of Garrique. Medium plus finish and drinking well. Really good value. Day 2 showing well. For $25 that I paid for this wine it far exceeds any of the over price Bordeaux wines I sampled last weekend which were grossly overpriced. No more $225 events for me.

Lacks the awesomeness of previous bottles. Getting a little too much secondary character and lacks the fruit of others. Graphite, pepper, spices and red fruits. While not a powerful finish it still lingers for 25 seconds. Recommend drinking these up.
