Pale straw with a slightly green tinge. taut and minerally with a squeeze of lime. Clean, linear focus and just a sense of depth and density coming through on the mid-palate. Classic Remilly, in a lovely place but time n hand. ****

Bobby BBQ (B&A's): Amber. A honeyed nose with a faint whiff of botrytis. Rich but actually not that sweet seeming on the palate. Quite intense, but more a cheese wine than a pudding one. After the initial fresh marmalade it maybe lacks some complexity and depth, but it's very drinkable and holds one's interest. ***1/2

Bobby BBQ (B&A's): Blind. Bright, mid ruby, quite light. Lovely nose of strawberry. Palate suggests this is a light Pinot, which indeed it turns out to be. Fresh, joyous uncomplicated fun with a bit of depth to it. ***

Bobby BBQ (B&A's): Blind. Mid to full cherry red. Vibrant and bright nose of dark red fruit, white pepper and a top not of kirschy cherry. Smooth and silky attack, similar profile to the nose. Syrah? Gosh, that's a surprise. When revealed I can see the Italianate acidity but even with hindsight wouldn't pick it as such. Lovely wine, with lots there. ****

Bobby BBQ (B&A's): Blind. Mellow, earthy, slightly meaty red fruit with sous bois and a touch of caramel. Complex and quite long. Very attractive. Could be Burg or maybe Oregon. Ah, apparently I've had another bottle from this case previously, but none the wiser. ****

Bobby BBQ (B&A's): Blind. Deep straw. A ripe, evolved nose with some custard apple vanilla spice. Pretty advanced. A ripe vintage in the Macon? Oh, no, that's a surprise, it's clumsy for Puligjny, but probably a combination of the vintage and verging on the edge of pox. **

Bobby BBQ (B&A's): Pale straw. Classic old world Sauvignon nose, mineral and detailed but restrained. Similar on palate, mineral and zesty with a strong line and good length. There's quite a lot here, and room for it to grow further. ****

Half. Lovely deep garnet, full and vibrant. A worrying woody nose on opening but turns out to be bottle stink. Full nose of earthy, meaty Gevreyness. Dense, softly velvety texture, very plush and smooth but elegant. Not hugely complex, but a gentle spice and very cosseting. Lovely. ***1/2

Lovely colour, really deep fleshy pink. Nicely fruity on the nose. Quite promising on the attack, and then the fruit fades and the texture is more winey rather than summer fruit. Decent, but lacks a vibrancy. ***

Going from strength to strength. Still a good core of reasonably dark red fruit, a touch of gloss still, but a more meaty, gamey edge starting to develop, with a little mushroom sous bois. Densely silky and plush on the finish with a good mineral spine. Lovely, and almost moving beyond ***1/2

Half. Excellent condition with good level. Dark ruby to garnet. Surprisingly vibrant and dense. Dark red fruited nose, a whiff of smoke and a dense and relatively unevolved meatiness that hasn't quite developed in to sous bois. Sturdy. A touch of tannin still that is almost, but not quite, out of kilter with the fruit. Rustic in the best sense. Chewy too. Oodles of life. ***

Pale straw. Lime, a bit of sulphur and a mineral feel to the nose. Nice focus on the palate with a good shape and length. Just a touch of slightly hot grip on the finish that signals the vintage. Proper and quite serious. ****
