7/23/2012 - pete s. wrote: NRTasting room note. Probably the most fruit forward of the Pinots...almost tart cranberry and ripe berry at the same time. There's an underlying "rusty" note as well. I preferred the '07. |

7/21/2012 - pete s. wrote: 90 pointsTasting room note. Nose showed black cherry, forest floor, and musty wood. Lively acid on the palate with pomegranate, earth, and fine tannins. Really can't do much better for Pinot in this price range. |

7/21/2012 - pete s. wrote: 89 pointsTasting room note. Looking back, I should have purchased more of this. Bright red fruit and floral nose with a lt-med. bodied palate that shows balance of red fruit and medium acid. Lightly chilled, this would be extremely versatile with food. |

2/7/2013 - pete s. wrote: 92 pointsTasting room note. Delicious. Fleshy blackberry and dark cherry. Lush and concentrated dark fruit on the palate and med-high tannins but both are balanced nicely. Structure gives way to an lengthy cassis/oak finish. |

7/22/2012 - pete s. wrote: 90 pointsTasting room note. This is much more robust than the Rodger's Creek and much more fruit dominant. Lighter tannins and acid. |

7/22/2012 - pete s. wrote: 92 pointsTasting room note - My favorite Pinot of the 2010 lineup. Lovely red fruit, spice, and a pleasant earthiness on the nose. Vibrant on the palate with plush red fruit, balanced structure and a lengthy finish. Lots of layers that I can't quite pinpoint. |

2/7/2013 - pete s. wrote: 92 pointsCouldn't resist popping one of these. Ran through the vinturi and immediately got a whiff of what was waiting for me on the nose: smoke, dried beef, charcoal, tar, blackberries, and mineral...in order of prevalence. A little more restrained on the palate and more of the dark, juicy fruit shines through in a medium-bodied package. Obvious structure for ageing and and a fantastic finish that is my favorite part of the drinking experience. The savageness of this wine is almost overwhelming, but everything comes together in balance in the end. This could reach 94-95 territory. |

9/19/2012 - pete s. wrote: 91 pointsThis was an excellent and fairly priced Barolo. My experience in this price range is hit or miss, but his drank very well tonight. Lovely nose of dried cherries and rose petal with focused red fruit on the palate. Lots of structure on the lengthy finish. Should get better. |

10/20/2012 - pete s. wrote: 89 pointsPop and poured through the vinturi. Tight at first, but opened up to show ripe black fruit and pepper. The fruit was kept in check nicely by the firm tannins which were not as imposing as I would've guessed based on recent reviews. I wasn't getting the herbal and earthy notes I noted two years ago. I'd do a long the decant the next time around. |

2007 TOR Cuvée SusanNapa Valley Red Blend more |
1/5/2013 - pete s. wrote: 91 pointsThis is drinking very well right now. I typically get more Syrah characteristics in these Cab/Syrah blends, but this time around the Cab was in the forefront. Rich cassis with milk chocolate on the palate balanced by firm but nicely integrated tannins. Drink or hold. |
