Red and black fruit aromas next to the '09 Coltibuono CC Riserva. More fruit and oak show. A more turgid expression right now. Wound up. Wild med/+ acid, more forceful acid than I was anticipating. Plus some soft tannin. Structured! Med tannin. This is a BUY. Some light spice, hints at a future X-mas.

A substantially darker red fruit aspect to the aromas next to the '12 CC. More depth, a pool of aroma. Not the present herb of the lower wines. Does have a grassy carry about itself. Palate offers more interesting, silently carried, complexity. A little spice, not much bitter. Packed with latent energy. Med plus acid with out a doubt.

Shows some kernel to the nose, not so new barrel-like, but in that old school kerosene-type way. Roast nut skin. Some spice to the palate. While I enjoy the expression, it's not so modern as pro ported with the barrique and all.

Rather approachable, even from the cork pull.
Has a mezcal-like smoke to the nose, amongst fresh dark red cherry aromas. More clarity to the palate next to the Poliziano, or maybe just less to the palate. I actually prefer the Poliziano at this point. Don't quote me on that. The '10 White Label comes off as the more traditional wine. More charm. Not as earthy as I've found previous vintages. Less tannin than the Poliziano, for sure, and not as modern of a vibe.

Very nice vintage for this wine. More acid and a little more ripe fruit feel to the nose. Clean and glassy palate. Tree fruit into some white fruit tones. Persistent. I know, I know, a little salty aroma.

As one of the St Emilion satellites, there isn't substantial difference between them and St Emilion. Lussac, Montagne, St George, Puisseguin. more than anything they are satellites due to their distance from the village of St Emilion, rather than any substantial terroir differences.
