Merlot and Cabernet Franc, very clayey aroma. Right Bank in its expression. just a hint of pepperiness on the palate. 60% Cab Franc, 40% Merlot.
Cab Franc grown on volcanic ash, Merlot on clay on the other end of the block. in the foothills of the Mayacamas, soil types change quite frequently.
This block was replanted from Pinot Noir in the late 90s.

Generally speaking about the 2013 and 2014 vintages. 2014 - hottest OR vintage on record. 2013, there was a 200 hour rainstorm. Any fruit they picked before the storm got bulked out. After the storm, 85% of their fruit, came down in ABV to 12.5-13.5% from the 13.5% ABV pre-storm.
