This was very good. Dark fruit, velvety texture, medium body with integrated tannin and fruit-spice profile that changed over the course of an hour, but never showed signs of decline. Excellent. 91+

Very informal notes, but loads of dark fruit and depth. Very primary, but this was a pnp. Seems very young and I was told it was better the next day.

Informal notes, but loads of black fruit, spice and oak(!). Full bodied with medium tannin and medium acidity. Medium finish with a bite of alcoholic heat. This was opened several hours and showed no signs of decline, and the half glass I had in the fridge seemed to smooth out, with no oxidation, but still had the heat. Killer qpr. I'll sit on my last bottle for a while. 91+

I'm not sure this was a good bottle. Popped with a perfect, tight cork, the wine seemed a bit oxidized, but drinkable. Leather, Port, dried fruit and herbs. Medium Port like finish. Drinkable, but not seemingly good enough to rate.

C: Light ruby. N: Faint cola, red cherry and some oak. P: Black tea, bitter cherry, black pepper and dried herbs. Light-medium body with medium+ acidity and tannins. F: Short with more bitter cherry pit, black tea, surprisingly puckering tannins and a definite alcoholic heat, which seems to linger with the bitterness. This has been open for 2 days and still seems very disjointed and possibly young. Certainly a cooler climate fruit profile. 86+

Informal notes, but there's certainly a reason this was declassified. Minimal botrytis and complexity with a watered down palate and body. While this is certainly very young, I don't have high hopes for it.

Definite Pinot profile, but with minimal complexity and finish. Cranberry and cherry, light-medium body. I had this opened 2 days and it didn't change much over that time period. Seemingly, very young. 87-88, for now.

Very informal notes, but this did not seem to have changed at all in the past year. Black olive, raw meat and a distinct cool climate profile. I didn't finish the bottle and saved around half for consumption 2 days later. Wow, what a difference! The wine has really smoothed out and become much more graceful, but loaded with ripe black raspberry, dusty earth and leather. Very, very good, I wish I had more.

C: Surprisingly dark, with little bricking. N: Dusty cellar, loads of leather, some oak. P: More dusty, earthy flavors, dry black cherry, leather, pronounced tannins and acidity. Medium body. F: Medium with drying, firm tannins on the back end and a classic Italian profile. While the cork in this showed running around half way, this is very good and drinking surprisingly young. Very nice.
Edit: This was even better 2 days later after being in the 'fridge. Still enough dark fruit, but loads of tannic structure.

Trey nailed it below. On the pnp, I got sulfur and a mildew on the nose, but this blew off after a few minutes. The palate was restrained, but had plenty of old school Italian character with a surprising amount of red fruit and leather.Short finish. No signs of falling apart in the glass over an hour drinking period. 91+

Amazingly dark with no signs of age. N: Loads of rich Napa fruit, espresso and oak. P: Rich, dark cherry, raspberry, coffee. Medium + acidity kept the fruit from being too much, with balanced tannins. Medium-full body. F: Medium+ with more fruit and excellent acidity. This seemed surprisingly young and got better with a 2 hour decant. I really wish I had more. 92-93

Decanted for 2 hours. Surprisingly restrained in flavor and complexity, especially for a 2007, this seemed more like a moderate CdR than a higher priced Cdp. Mild cranberry, dried herb and some earthiness. Integrated tannins with balanced acidity. Short-medium length finish. Paired with grilled lamb chops. 87-90
