This really is white Ribena in a way. Quite sweet, flabby and uninspiring. 80 at best.

Quite a nice fresh and clean expression to the otherwise always oaked and waxy rich Chenin Blanc. This was fresh, lemony, clean, focussed and just a joy to be had. We wish we came across many more clean version of Chenin. Simply beautiful in its simplicity and straight forward character. 90 and worth it maybe more

Light in colour, grassy, lemony wine. Very pure on the Sauvignon bland side and with nor nuisance from oak or over ripeness. Very clean, light mineral, citrus. Pretty solid wine and drinks very well now. 89+

By the glass at the BA lounge. Fresh bottle. We suspect some decanting would be helpful albeit not essential.
Quite dark on the colour and across the experience the wine is on the fruit. Light pepper on the nose, dark fruits. Quite restrained for a 2005 on the ripeness front and a lot more expressive than a lot of the 05s of higher pedigree. Well enjoyable and round now and we suspect this has a lot of life ahead of it. Would have liked to see some more magic give the vintage though. A very good 89.

A lot more pronounced new world Pinot than its sibling the 2011 ( Papies 89). The 2012 is sweetish, ripe, medium and quite expressive. A touch too sweet at times which results in a easy wine with no real complexity or character. Expected more. 87

Quite a dark colour, purple tint.light dark fruit dominated nose. Quite an unassuming, unpretentious wine, a touch straight forward and feels about right now. Has still a few sharp edges but the fruit is healthy on the palate, the tannin is in check and barring a few dry notes and a bit of astringency on the finish this was pretty good for the pedigree. 88 but a good 88

Light yellow with green notes on the colour. Light on the nose, just the lightest touch of oak, quite fresh, round, well balanced. Good structure, made with a light hand in a way and very enjoyable. Not the winner of miss depth 2010 but still quite a nice package. 90

A very nice surprise. We decanted and served as we didn't have time. Followed in the steps of Lynch Bages 2007 (Papies 89-90) and was clearly a better wine, at this stage at least.
Has good fruit across the palate, nice open on the nose, good balance and acidity and just behave so good. Drinks very nicely now but given the vintage was such a nice surprise . 91+

Requires a lot of decanting and we did so for a good two hours. Definitely helped develop the wine. Post decanting the wine actually feels older than an 8 years in a way but still not on the giving front. Interesting to see it carry soft fruit, was still quite firm but not as austere as expected. Definitely decanting helped on the tannin front. Lacks a touch of fruit to be honest to balance it out. Lets see how it evolves. A decent 89-90 for now from us.

As with all these Aussie Shiraz one needs to like the juicy, spicy, light oaky style to enjoy them for beyond one glass. Its not really our style but seeing past thta one can not argue this is not a well made wine albeit a touch too jammy at times. 88

Quite a dark, rich, ripe wine. Dark fruits, solid but not angular on the tannin front. Not sure how long this has been opened for but given it was late in the day we assume this has been opened for some time. Quite a bit of heat on the palate and an ok finish. 86-7

Quite a fatty, modern, oaky expression if this popular grape with all the hallmarks of a california white. Still quite a solid, well made wine and if its the style one is looking for will be happy for the quality vs the price. 87-88

A very nice surprise in terms of style and quality. Sharp, firm, focused and mineral. Good aromatic profile , with nice ripe fruit edge and a few yeasty tones. Really nice as an aperitif and worth the price albeit has less of the star power of the other marques. A very solid 90 from us.

Quite young still and a bit unpolished on the acidity front. Needs time , maybe another 5 years to step into it correct drinking window. Still in a way buttoned down and not showing much other than a light petrolly side on the nose, light citrus. Excellent mineral profile at least and so well structured. Needs time. 90 for now but with a lot of potential in our view.

Quite dark, dense fresh but on the forward side without been a heavy handed wine, albeit a modern expression. Has definitely been in contact with oak but carries it well. Violets, dark fruits and well made wine. Still very young and needs time to evolve but one can not argue this is not a quality wine. We would definitely like to cross paths with it again in a few years. 90ish for the moment.

A quite nice surprise as we didn't expect much from this and ended up being a very nice experience. On the simple side but very nice still. The wine is unpretentious and un-adulterated. Def has seen some oak in its elevage but it carries it well and the restrain on the oak helps the wine stay expressive ( we wish other Spaniards would follow the same path. We are scarred by over-oaked Spanish wines). Good fresh red fruit, good acidity, the tannin is vibrant but not harsh and there is beauty in the relative forward-ness of the wine. An 89 from us but a good 89 and wouldn't hesitate to order it again.

Quite a dark colour, dark caramel. the nose had a few harsh noes to start but developed nicely over the time. The wine has developed well since we last tried it (Papies 90) and definitely felt a lot more balanced but still lacked depth and complexity and sort of felt average. a good 90 maybe 91.

Quite a classic in style Bordeaux red and at a very good time to be enjoyed. The nose is true to origin, with good dark fruits, light secondary but it felt a bit dusty to be honest. On the palate it followed well, good tannin albeit on the soft side, firm, well structured wine with good fruit and it has a pretty solid life ahead of it. Drink from now but time will only make it better. 91 maybe 92

Opened and left to rest for 30 minutes. No decanting. Needs a bit of time in the glass to open up but once it does it is a magnificent wine testament to its origin. Very elegant and balanced, lovely red fruits on the nose, light smoky, meaty times. On the palate it carries the same tune and we just loved the purity of this wine. Has a few dry edges here and there but this was just beautiful. 95-96 and just delicious now but for sure it has a decent life ahead of it.

A very elegant and balanced wine. Well matured and albeit not in any hurry to fade away we do propose one drinks sooner than later. Godo rich profile, light brioche, very balanced and well round. Could be a touch dryer to be honest and maybe could use some more acidity but this is a proper little number of a wine. We might not share Tom Stevenson's 20/20 plaudits but we still liked it quite a lot. a very good 92-93

Its been 2 years since we crossed patch with this classic claret beauty (rated 94 and 93). White pepper, cedar, light leather. Good fruit, well evolved and to be honest still very much young in a way and needs time to mellow the tannin. We thought that by now the tannin would have mellowed a lot more but still going strong. Very nice wine and with lots of life ahead of it. 93
