It's so young but still irresistible, it needs an hour or so decanted to open up and blow off some stinky reduction.

Give this a little air and it's quite a pretty mini meursault, the nose came in and out of focus, in the mouth the slightly oily texture was quite nice with good concentration, after being opened for around an hour it was much rounder and deeper, clean and well made, I really quite liked this.

Not bad for the relatively low price, tasting quite developed now, it's decent enough but little real interest

The nose is a bit smokey and the fruit a bit lean and leaves the mouth with quite drying tannins. It's hard to see this improving as its not very well balanced, not unpleasant but too much wood for the fruit

A cracking bottle, purchased from the domaine a few years ago, this was good from the get go, but with an hour or so of air really sang. There's the honey and hazlenuts, but with nice tension and acidity and more savoury evolved flavours, and could develop more over the next few years

Benefits from some air, some very fine grained tannin still, pretty juicy with a bit of savoury interest, pleasant mid week drinking

Plenty of biscuit and toast on the nose, the palate is more simple and with no real length, the bubbles are relatively soft for champagne, it's round but doesn't really do much for me, though it's easy enough to drink now, best at cellar temp.

Quite full for a Beaujolais, and a Fleurie. Strawberries on the nose when you open it, but with air develops more savoury tones, there's the last trace of tannin left in the mouth, it's pretty lovely stuff, it feels like a burgundy but tastes of Beaujolais

Resolved and ready to drink, the nose is lovely dark cherry fruit with some subtle Asian spice and a little forest floor. The palate delivers more of the same with nice acidity which makes for some very easy and delicious drinking. Will keep for a good few years as well

Light green / yellow, the nose is fairly ripe with hints of pineapple, apricot and citrus high notes, it's also showing some signs of development in quite an attractive way. There's still a decent amount of acidity in the mouth and more of the slightly tropical ripe flavours before it finishes clean, long and with a bit of mealiness

Deep and rich aromas leap from the glass, this isn't shy or retiring, it's full flavoured darker cherry with some savoury development, still a little sweet and forward fruit, the tannins have all but disappeared but there's still fairly good acidity and the finish is long and quite refreshing. Tasty juice and could hold a little longer.

Really opened up after a couple of hours decanted. Quite dark cherry fruit wafts from the glass, it's got some development but is still vibrant. The fruit is more pronounced on the palate with plenty of mouthwatering acidity, the finish is really quite long and tangy. I think this should last a good few more years in this showing, but is lively drinking after a bit of air

The wine had only soaked 1cm into the cork. Plenty of fine sediment, needs a careful decant and we didn't so it was a bit muddy looking.
Plenty of leather, tobacco and sour cherries all intertwined. Quite fresh but plenty of development, will keep for longer but not sure how much more it will improve

Mid golden in colour. The nose is showing some evolution. It's still got some citrus acidity, and that just holds the palate together, it's definitely mature Chardonnay with a lovely depth of flavour and finish, I'm glad I took a chance on one of these bottles as this is delicious

Very slight fading at the rim, still looking quite youthful. It's quite a chunky Rioja, the tannins are almost resolved but it seems a little clumsy, especially for a 2001 and lacks the balance of some of its peers, the fruit almost seems a little cooked and a bit pruney and the finish a little hollow, all this said, it's not unpleasant, just not a great wine.

9 months on from the last note, coravined a glass. Still quite a youthful nose of bright Syrah fruit, blackberry particularly with some earthy character. The palate is pretty smooth with good depth of flavour and finish. Not masses of acidity now and unsure how this will age, I'll report back in time.
