The light tropical fruits are washed out by mid palate minerals: finishes with a splash of citrus. Decent but not a repurchase.

Pnp, followed over two evenings. Briary black and red fruits with just the right amount of soily garrigue. Has traded early baby fat for some silk and elegance. Little change on night two. Lovely and should remain so for a few years.

A touch tannic and dark upon opening, with air the tannins receeded, texture smoothed, and a lovely candied cherry/red licorice note emerged. Delicious as always!

A little plumper and with less fruit concentration than I prefer. Much preferred the drive and intensity of the 2013 Fèvre Vaillons from last week. Wife felt differently.

After a 2hr decant this was still tight and tannic but showed layers of beautifully mature black and red fruits and fresh acids supported by a dark powerful spine. Should be a beauty but needs a few years.

A whiff of smoke on the pop quickly fades to sea breeze with salted limes and riper citrus. Picks up some buttery richness and minerals on the midpalate that carry through to the lengthy finish. Clean and incisive throughout. Nicely done!

Audouzed 5 hrs. This bottle was a bit off. The fruit was tired and the tannins were a little rough. Suspect improper storage in its youth.

Needs air to blow off sulfur. A bit simple on day 1, richer and fuller on day 2 with rounder fruit and a more pronounced wet cement underlayment. Good

Quite earthy with a simple mushroom-cranberry profile. Mild glycerin, moderate acid, a whisper of fine tannin on the finish. Ok now with some room for development, though a poor qpr.

Slow ox'ed 4 hrs. Gorgeous aromatics but the palate is still a small step behind. Rich red fruits, all-spice, cinnamon, soil, stems, and a bit of orange peel, with fresh integrated acid and a whisper of fine tannin. Attractive style. My first Rhys but certainly not my last. Drink or hold but delicious now.

Amazing wine and one of the best I've had from Nick, which is saying a lot. Fine, fresh, and pure, with perfect balance. The finish was spectacular with beautiful dark savory spice notes and a kiss of integrated acid. Reminded me of a scaled-down Lillian Splash decanted and open from the outset, this closed down some as the night progressed. Another year or two in bottle and this should be singing. 94-95
